Nah, same here mate. I thought it was excellently done - and actually showed the US getting the shit kicked out of 'em, which was more realistic than Gi Joe showing up to save the day. Fuck that, I like realism and I thought the story in WiC was great.
Gonna grab the expansion when I'm back in Norway after the weekend.

i never thought of that as "patriotic" or anything, but of "him conquering his own demon". Nothing to do with him being american, chinese or marsian ...

Maybe that's the problem, because Soviet Assault contains patch 1.010, so you should do clean install of WiC (do not patch it) and then just install Soviet Assault.

Is the Vitality release compatible with the one that came out (Reloaded?) when the game was released?
I heard about incompatibilities between retail original and Steam expansion, and the Vitality release being the cracked Steam version.

Does the DIE one install everything at once, or is it "install first, patch, install second"? I'm downloading now. Empire Total War won't be played much, as it appears from the flood of good games and my lack of time to play them all.

vitality rls works fine for me, tho i have a problem now with both game and expansion, as soon as its done with the cutscenes and goes into gameplay, the game crashes my whole pc, sound loops and the screen goes out(like it got disconnected), task manager or anything else doesn't work.

i installed FLT rls, patched to 1.010 (us i think)and then installed vitality release, so that isnt the problem.

i tried to install soviet assault without patching, but i get the same error ...
what version of patch 1.010 u installed ? EN or GB ?
can someone make a .sfv file from the Soviet Assault iso please ?
and a .sfv from the setup.exe ?

DIE is install WiC, then install addon.

i meant the expansion, the vit release works fine so no idea what the problem is for you so it isn't fake. probably just the one you downloaded
