yes, its a WAVE3 version - you must flash your rom to 1.51 or patch the game to wave2 - but then you are very BANNY Wink

Metallica in the title is enough to turn anyone with an iota of taste off this game.. Why do game devs assume we are all moronic drones who have no taste and listen to this sort of crap? Roll out a reggae or soul vers. Not this awful shite

I don't get this. I should be able to play this, right? I got iXtreme 1.2. But I still just got the xbox icon when I tried to burn HAWX and Trivial Pursuit. When I run them with mulletter it says they are not iXtreme compatible. But most ppl say 1.2 and 1.3 will work flawlessly with wave 3. hmmm...

Deelix, you need to update your iXtreme to 1.5. Anything below 1.5 doesn't work with wave 3.

Guitar Hero Metallica has wave 3.

I don't understand why people aren't updating their firmware when they should be.

I'm almost considering risking the banhammer and modifying isos instead of re-flashing. Apparently everyone here is an expert who can dismantle an x360 in 10 seconds but when I did it, it took almost an hour for me to get it apart (including making one of those keys out of a cd spindle case).

Wow, really! Laughing It took me 3 minutes just to dissemble the casing of the 360 with the Team Xecuter tools i bought along time ago.

Plus using Jungleflasher and the firmware i needed, it was flashing in 15 minutes.

Maybe when you just buy something for $300 and start disassembling it immediately after bringing it home you take your time?

Shit, it took me almost 15 minutes to take off my warranty sticker with a hair-dryer and exacto knife. I guess as well without pre-bought tools (digging through my toolbox to find a torx wrench in the right size and making tools out of plastic), re-watching youtube disassembly vids a couple times, and also needing to boot from a USB stick and pull out my computer and remove the case ... it's not exactly a fair comparison.

Maybe you can replace the thermal paste on a CPU in 3 minutes as well? Wink

If you dont care about warranty (sounds like you do because of the ms sticky tho Razz ) ...but if you don't you can just poke a hole in the plastic (inside, where the HDD is attached) and wola... SATA cable^^

just repatch the iso with the ppf-0-matic and 1.4>1.5 file if your not on Live. Thing is i know alot of people just say reflash but there is a hell of alot of people who get other people to flash their 360's and charge for it, they are scum for doing this but it happens alot, so if you cannot do it and are not bothered about LIVE because you have been banned on that xbox or just don't give a shit about LIVE then its far easier to just spend 1 sec patching any of these 3rd wave games.

if u plan on using any wave 3 title online do not patch it back to wave 2 you'll be banned simple!! 15-30mins to open case,get the tools,and flash!! better safe than sorry

The only thing is, there is no "safe". Noone knows why some people get banned, and some don't. Also, not everyone knows what to do exactly while flashing a 360, some might even break theirs.

anyhoo my question is does anyone know if there is any difference between the NiG ver, and the dg ver?

btw i have the dg ver and it runs fine. but not sure if its patched right just looking for sum info. tnx in advance
