Well if you choose to use 64bit system, I take it you dual boot? If not suit yourself, can't be the first game/application that doesn't work on 64bit.

Doesn't work for me. Loads Aspyr "credits" movie, goes back to desktop, comes back to a white screen in a window with music playing .. and then crashes.

Windows 7 x64 build 7000.

And?

So the game REQUIRES nVidia to play now? Nice going, I predict lots of sales, honest.

it could be w7 issue, just like slow loadings on FEAR2 demo

main reason i still stick to vista x64 atm, to avoid any further complications, each new os brings some new bugs

I did not have any problems with FEAR2 (not demo) using Win7. I however don't recommend using Win7 players that like multiplayer, as Punkbuster isn't supporting Win7, so games like CoD4 doesn't work on Punkbuster enabled servers...

Dark Sector initialization is interesting, it plays the credits movie then switch back to desktop and then the game starts. I already uninstalled it, I find game itself quite boring.

different w7 build + different video drivers + not a very thoroughly tested game.. i'd guess it's a combo of reasons and besides, i doubt any companies test their games with w7 yet.

i take it there's no way to update to a newer build without reinstalling, so there's prolly not much you can do about it, except hope for a game patch or video driver update to fix this..

not to sound to negative, i'm gonna say you're not missing out on much Smile
the game's mediocre and very similar to wanted.

remove the monster and infection stuff from dark sector and you've got Wanted
it feels exactly the same in matter of weapons, killing enemies and graphics

would it have been better if i'd have compared it with gears? there aren't that many cover-based shooters, at least on the pc, and gears was too good to drag in here, even though i didn't actually like anything about it except for the gameplay Smile

eh? you're saying the gameplay from gow is the same as in wanted?

yeah, the movement from cover to cover feels jerky in wanted and the gunplay feels somehow weak, but in gow the running around was pretty fluid. guns barely did any damage, though, and enemies took a clip to the head to down, unlike wanted, where a headshot is a kill.

hmm, seems like i lost my point somewhere in that paragraph, which i'm not gonna read again. but whatever Laughing

lol 200 fps in action, now that's some optimization. sadly antialiasing doesn't work.

Is it me or the image seems to be a little stretched vertically in 16:10 resolutions Confused
