Whats the difference between clonedvd and non clonedvd releases concerning pc games? Do the clonedvd releases just never require cracks?

clone: the image contains the information necessary to fool the copy protection thgrough emulation when mounted, needs no crack non-clone release: the iso basically just contains game data (+crack), nothing else
