|

since my xbox 360 got RROD I decided to buy an arcade version. there are millions of different tutorials on how to mod an xbox360, whats the newest tut that you would recommend? what exactly do I need to be aware of besides being banned from live which I don't really care about.
thanks.

Well if you are going to buy your Xbox now you can be 99% sure it´s a liteon.
i7 3770k, GTX980, 16GB Ram, SSD Raid0, Internet 3rd world shit not worth mentioning

I just bought xbox 360 arcade and it appears to be lit-on drive.
I know it is the hardest drive to flash, I have read the noob guide to flashing liteon drive and I'm still pazled a bit because the instraction says I will need:
A LiteOn drive. (I have that)
• A key grabber tool. Homemade, Xtractor, or CK3 (don’t forget to install the drivers) (don't have)
• iXtreme 1.5 LiteOn Firmware (I have that)
• JungleFlasher .26 beta (I have that)
• PortIO32 (I have that)
Questions
1. some people say that you don't need that key grabber and some people say u do so which one is it?
2. I have a 5 year old pc with NF7 series mother board, I don't believe I have SATA card on it so if I am to buy one which one it has to be and would it even work with my mother board?
any reply would be greatly appreciated.

don't want to be rude and question your skillz and all, but is it possible that u can give it to someone who actually knows what the hell he's doing?
otherwise there a possibility of u ruining brand new console

I feel confident in my skills, all I need is the right tut. but the advise that you suggested have bin floating in my mined for a wile now and not because I don't trust myself to flash it but because it would be much cheaper financially. So lets say I pay $40 for someone to flash it, with the next firmware update I wont be able to play any newer games again?
thanks.

its funny cuz I had no problem opening it and repairing the damn RROD but I am confused about flashing it, any way I'll probably give it to some one else to flash it. 1 last question do I need to have the original key so that later on I can update to the new firmware when it comes??

I think good advice would be to never ever lose the original key.
you can fuck up the flashing all you want (because original can always be restored), but I guess with a Liteon you always need that original key to go back.
