Of course it's just human nature at it's most perverse. When the game finally does get cracked I am sure we will get the usual number of whiners in here telling us that athena is the worst game in the world, that's it's makers are cretins at best and pederasts at worst and that many of the loudest 'sledgers' will have been amongst the leading lights in agitating about the game not having been cracked yet.
Not that means much either other than humans have a perverse streak a mile wide.
Why do so many of us come in here every few hours to check if it has been cracked?

riddick and mount&blade are the only games i know of that implemented melee mechanics beyond random button smashing
die by the sword not included as it was more a fun experiment than a valid control scheme

Tages is now supported in the latest Game Jackal. I think it might be unlikely that it would work with this game but might be worth a try...?
