Do i need to remind you how EA are fuckin sell outs...best example is the gamepad issue with NHL 2005....the company paid EA to make the game work only with THEIR gamepad...so basicly you need to buy it if you dontwant to play with your keyboard.
Oh and another thing, EA games doesnt work on your PC if you have cloneCD or other programs that have drives emulation (sims 2, NHL 2005...) and i mean a retail version....so you need to uninstall programs to play their games...well you know what???
FUCK EA!!!

LOL that's true, my gamepad works great with most games but not with those made by EA, NONE OF THEM!!!! The company reminds me a lot of Microsoft, trying to take over the market to get some kind of monopoly and eliminate all threats on the market so they won't need to put so much effort on their games.
And again, SCREW EA!

My old saitek p750 gamepad works just fine with all EA games, including nhl 2005.
I dont have anything against EA, I like most of their sport games and a bunch of other games.

Firstly, Buying ONE more smaller company will NOT make much of a difference... How will this lower the quality of games? and how will this affect other small developers AT ALL. wow... it won't.
Anyways... This is a completely pointless thread, go do something useful.

I
MAD_MAX333... You watch what you say because as far as I know you dont realease shit or anything so you are as much of a leech as a 13 year old googling for warez. I take offense beacause I do support certain game companies, and thier quality products. And you throwing some angry bullshit in pisses me off. |
ummm no, i won't WATCH what i say, i do pay my share to companies, most likely much more than 80% of you guys. i bought a ps2 with many games, xbox with a few, nintendo Ds, 5 games and tons of games for advance... i have a few bought pc titles too, hl, hl2 ( just bought) all fallouts, any gamei play online, like nba games and such
i do leech, but i help whenever i can, half the games i bought i HATE, i jsut read reviews and bought... if you leech you ARE stealing from them, no ifs buts or anything about it... think of it as a car dealership, they lend you the car for one day or few hours, same as a demo for a game, you cannot tell the dealer oh let me keep it to see how works in rain and snow and shit, you cannot... that would be breaking the law , if you then don't buy the car you don't have as much right to bitch about let say their faulty electronics on the car and such.... get a grip, EA makes awsome games. they have alot of exprience they can lend to smaller companies and if smaller companies are sstablished with good records EA wouldn't disband them and shit... don't take this personal for godsakes, its just games for heavon sakes...

Its all good, but when unnecesserly flame people who just voice their opinions is not really necessery or oppropriate, especailly on a board like nforce.
I take it personally because I pride on my game collection, which rages from PC game like MS Flight Sim1 on 5.25" floppies to new titles like UT2004. I could basicly open up a store with originally wrapped video games. Same deal with consoles, ranging from Vectrex, Neo-Geo, Jaguar to XBox. So you see my point. no hard feelings.

So just because you have stacked your room full of games that gives you a reason to be mad at people ? Get a hold of yourself and just ignore others like he said its just games no matter if you have 1 or 100 in your collection.

are u fookin crazy?!! Ubisoft fookin owns, almost every game they have released so far has been great and had a new way of fun, unlike fucking EA's damn "lets-add-another-number-and-call-it-a-new-game" games/shits!!!! Fook em! Every single game EA publishes is unfinished and could be great if given a big patch, but no the games are forgotten and new ones are spewn out at a friggen factory rate, fuck it. And you say pirating is a bad thing... pppppfffft, i would eat my own nuts before i support a slavecompany like that. Fuck even the jeans companies and shit that uses children in asia to make their clothes are better, at least their clothes are durable and fookin good looking, what does EA do? Games that appear friggen GREAT and are for a few hours until you notice the beta-bugs that STILL hasnt been fixed after 6 months! Fuck em!
yee im drunk, so sue me fuckers ;D

EA's purchase of an exclusive licensing deal with the NFL is also bad news (even though I am a madden fan). They have effectly wiped out all competition in the NFL football market and mark my words, their NFL gaming franchise is going to take a turn for the worse without competion from others (eg. ESPN) forcing them to make a better product. |
same thing with Fifa but finally a quality product has exceeded the comercial one

EA can be a bi**h sometimes, but Ubi-Soft is WORSE! No patches for games nor support (horrible, and I thought EA sucks at support, but no...)

This is my first post here but I had to put my first two cents in, lol.
Well I love Ubi-Soft they came out with a lot of realy good games(Myst series, Tom Clancy's,Brothers In Arms-OTH,Ghost Recon,Prince of persia,
exc, exc, exc,AND my FAV of all of them the one I put a year and a half
maybe even more, Shadowbane, and the expantion TROC.
I was there wen it was being BATA tested I was there wen the harpeys lost there close and was flying naked I was there for the infamous smileyface exe. error.
To get to my point they have the up and downs but they are a realy good company and to see them go away and to see EB take over will make me just wana go postal, come on who want to see (Prince of putting
OR shadowball) maybe this is juat the ranting of a old MMRP player but.....

That´s not just totaly true is it. I play, and have played, all of the games in NHL-series. Some how they just KEEP missing small details every year though the y always claim to have made SOO many improvements.
But ok... that´s one game and they have more titles, I know....

If EA buys Namco or even worse Capcom I will quit the whole video game business for good.

OH NOES! A GAME COMPANY TRYING TO MAKE MONEY!? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO!?
Get over it already. Maybe if piracy wasn't so rampant small developers would have a chance. As it is, none of you have a right to complain.
