for fuck's sake can't these people leave me the fuck alone, I understand that they have to drag people into their offers to make a living but it ain't my fault they got that shit job, no matter what I do they just keep on calling god damn it, I know I can sue their asses and make money off of it but I'm so lazy to do that, sometimes I just unplug the phone unless I'm expecting personal calls which most of the time happen on my cell
but god damn these people are fucking annoying, next time I'm gonna try to have some fun with them with gunshot sounds and all kind of bullshit!

At least in here you can blacklist your number from their lists so you won't get any call from telemarketers. Dunno how it works where you live, but maybe ask about it the next time you get a call?
^ Haven't bothered doing that myself tho, since I so rarely get a call from telemarketers (not in the habit of putting my number anywhere unnecessary). If I do get a call I just say no and cut the call.

do you get them on phone line? remove the phone line! you will never get these calls on your cell phones..at least I never got one but all the time on the phone line

I work in telemarketing, and we get the lists from the TDC which has monopoly on Mobile services.

unplugged the phone, fuckers annoy me in my sleep and my sleep time is really random, during day/night/noon etc
I don't expect any calls so why bother myself

Dunno if you live in the US or Canada, but if you do, put yourself on the NO CALL LIST.
If you don't live in the US or Canada, simply say "Not interested, please don't call her again". If they do, say "I told you not to call me and now I have to report you to police for harassment".
Of course, don't go to the cops.
But they won't call you again. 
I get maybe 2 tele calls a week from companies who disregard to the NO CALL LIST and I tell them I'm on the list, I have a private number. I have recorded the number you call from and will be reporting.
They stop.
Still, your bound to get a "telemarketing" call from....well...Nigerians.
I got a call last week. I answer and the dude is like "Hello Mr *my last name*, I'm phoning from your credit card company to inform you that you have qualified for a very low interest rate and will save over 5000 bucks a year". So I say (knowing he's not from my bank as I have told my bank only send me stuff via mail...I will not respond or give out or answer info/questions over the phone and thats what they do) "Ok, sounds interesting, whats involved?". He's says "Well, sir, we need your SIN number, DOB, Bank Account Number, birthday and mother's maiden name". I ask "Why do you need this information sir?". He says "Well, we need to confirm your identity". I say "If you were from my bank and the person who handles my finances, you would know this information...and btw, my mothers maiden name has nothing to do with my finances. Also, my SIN number has NOTHING to do with anything in this regard". The guy persisted.
Eventually, I said "Listen, I know your trying to rob me, I'm not an idiot man. You can't con a con man (I know cliche but hey). While we've been on the phone I've been recording the info you've been asking for and the number you call from. So after I hang up, I'm going to the cop station and filing a report". The guy's like "Uh, Uh, Uh, Uh....FUCK!" and hangs up.
So I went to the cop station and apparently in the last few months, these scams have tripled. So I gave the info I collected, cops thanked and asked if I get anymore calls like this, report them since i have an open file on this.
I know, I kinda went on but you gotta be SOOOO careful nowadays.

I just have call display. I only answer from calls I know or let people leave a msg. If I know them then I pick up.

Rofl Im saving that counter script to my PC. I get calls from telemarketers everyday. Usually I dont answer but they leave long answering machine messages. Annoying..

Federal do not call list seems to work fine here. Been years since I've heard from a telemarketer, except for the car warranty scammers, but theyre rotting in federal prison right now.
