Seems I fell asleep and forgot to add the download link, still the files Damador uploaded should work just fine.

Download the latest Rev loader and then update Steam to get the most recent steamclient.dll file, rename it to for example steamclient_org.dll and add all files from the loader and this .dll file to the same directory as the exe.

Then just set up the loader and it should work just fine if you have all files required by the game. Smile

Shouldn't be needed but here's my archive of what should be all updated and changed files.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/fy7io9

EDIT: Info for Steam_AppId.txt should be 10500 and here's the client file. Smile

Son of a bitch crashed AGAIN!

I'm seriously starting to regret supporting these guys by buying the CE on release. Fucking roll of the dice as to whether or not you crash on end turn (before the autosave) or after an important battle (again before the autosave).

And what's this they keep saying that they can't figure out how to get Naval Invasions viable because of processor requirements? A complete fucking amateur did it (DarthMod) effortlessly yet these guys, who are presumably paid professional coders that have a much more extensive knowledge of the engine, can't? Is this arrogance or just plain fucking stupidity on their part?

They need to get their shit together.

@JBeckman

Since a revemu update a few months you don't need the original steamclient.dll
You can even comment the line out or leave it as "steamclient.dll"

With the latest official patch - Episode 2 Chapter 3 of the Road To Independence is broken.
After you capture the indicated city (Louisburg, Arcadia), the new objectives never pop up.

Woot for patch! Bang up job QA team!

I've just loaded my old RTI save with the new patch and now some of the enemy officers commit suicide at the start of the battle omfg
Maybe we need to start a new RTI campaign to get rid of these oddities?

Found a possible fix. Restart the entire road to independence campaign. Just select the first chapter, beat it, and it should continue on to the second one; this time allowing you to get past Louisberg.

That fix is actually incorrect and dumb luck. What actually causes the bug is if at any time during that section of the campaign you dismiss an "Objective Accomplished" pop-up with anything other than clicking the check mark.

Do NOT click on the magnifying glass or the x to dismiss an objective pop-up - if you do, it will bug your Louisburg completion.

Yeah, I regret buying this piece of shit as well. Even this latest patch doesn't fix enough shit. Granted, a year from now the game will finally be fully patched and working fine - But thats a year from now.

put into
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data

i changed file type from mod to patch- otherwise it will not work in MP

DONT EXTRACT - simply put into data folder - just tried and works in mp / sp too

you know ive played etw when i got it for a fair while lol, then issues come along one notices for a little bit, a patch comes out and you think excellent ill jump back in, only to find more issues.

I check the updates and feedback from here etc just after im going "yeah! time to finaly play now" and then find out there are more issues every patch. And of course dont start playing again.... This saga is getting more like patching a mmorpg, where they break more than they fix..

you need to enable it in the conf file like all the other mods
i guess patch could work aswell but you can't control the load order so it's not reliable

* Extract the contents of this package to where your game is installed.
* You can launch revLoader in two ways:

1) Create a shortcut to revLoader and apply the following command line options:

-appid <APPID> where <APPID> is the application in question.
If supplied revLoader will create a steam_appid.txt file with the value specified.
-launch <PROCNAME> where <PROCNAME> is the executable to launch

All other command line options are passed through to the launched executable, so:

revLoader.exe -appid 12345 -launch MyApp.exe -silent /help

This will create a steam_appid.txt file with the value 12345 Before launching MyApp.exe with the arguments -silent /help
2) Specify the name of the application to load in the ProcName setting in the rev.ini file.
You can also specify the command line if required.

e.g ProcName=MyApp.exe -silent /help
* Set the "SteamClientDll" value to the path to your Steam client's original steamclient.dll (optional)

NOTES*

* If your game doesn't use steamclient.dll, you might consider commenting the option "SteamClientDll".
* If you specify SteamClientDll value, we recommend you create a file called "steam_appid.txt" and write your game's valid AppID in it, or start revLoader with the -appid option and revLoader will create the steam_appid.txt file for you.
* Always use the latest steamclient.dll from the revEmu package!

2.2 was updated 1 may 09

Do you need to run Empire TW with a commandline parameter ? I don't think so, so forget that, not needed.
