Expires:5/10/2009. Offer not good on cash trades. Games with a trade value of less than $2.00 are excluded from offer. Trades must be in full working condition to receive full value. Hardware must have all necessary components for trade. Cannot be combined with any other offer. PS3 hardware subject to availability by location. Trade-ins subject to manager approval. See store associate for details. No dealers. Offer valid in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam only.
No fucking offer in the U.K.
They must feel sorry for you Americans because you all have swine flu
Thought I'd post it anywayz.

That's only in Scotland though, that doesn't count.
I have to say the deal sounds a bad one unless you are desperate for a price slash on the PS3 and can look the other way whilst Gamestop rob you in valuation.
...best just waiting for the real price slashes. They are coming Sony, right?

Don't support un-cracked consoles.

What a load of bollocks! The PS2 failure rate for the first couple of batches was absolutely terrible! Not as bad as the 360 (which has to be the king of failure), but it was pretty fucking bad. Amazing console, nontheless.

It says $100 so that's about 50 pounds, shocking offer with 3 games to.
Meh, someone delete this thread lol.

I thought the ps3 is backward compatible? No need for ps2 if you can play ps2 games on the ps3, I know xbox360 is for some games at least.

It used to be £50 remarkably but now the economy is down the shitter
The newer consoles are also more complex than the older ones, so it's obvious they are going to be prone to more faults and niggles than earlier hardware. In the case of the 360 I believe the biggest contributor to the issues was because they rushed it to the market.
...My original (bulky) PS2 is still running but for some reason it will no longer play my copied discs so it's of little use as I bought very few games for it, it has to be said

you got lucky, PS2 when it first started had huge issues with the laser failing
Disc read error
An unknown number of early PS2 models suffered from problems reading DVD discs; subsequently, a class action lawsuit was filed against Sony. Sony agreed to provide free repair or replacement for the faulty consoles and continued to do so until February 2005
