Is there a proper way to uninstall it? Razor's installer sux ass. Shortcut doesnt work, no uninstaller, asks stupid questions during installation about files which are already where they should be. Bad, bad, bad.

This is what i always do with STEAM games -

full install of the game
compress the whole installation folder (WinRar)

When i want to play, just extract all files from DVD to hard disk and play.

Simple and easy solution.

I wonder why this update doesn't spread if it's important. Did anyone notice any changes in-game?

I was lucky to get the update before the link died. But it's weird that it isn't widely available as it's less than 2 mb, what's even more strange is that Razor haven't given a description of the changes in the update other than the developer forgot something.

Yeah I've noticed that it's started to appear on a few public sites, unsure what exactly it changes though as I haven't downloaded it yet, will have to wait until later.

Game itself looks interesting albeit with a few odditites like that underwear adrenaline mode.
(Bit of work with TexMod and it'll be even weirder haha. )

For me, the patch doesn't fix jack crap, it BREAKS the game. When trying to load the game: replay.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Tnx razor Razz

Same here, but if i start a new game it works fine. Looks like saves might be incompatible.

Just don't use the crack that comes with Velvet_Assassin_Update_1-RazorDOX, it's messed up. Either use crack from RZR iso (exe wasn't updated anyway) or use loader with original exe.

Why do you want an update if you don't even know what it fixes. Do you have problems with this game? Cause it works excellent for me, and i heard people finished it just fine without updating anything

Well being up-to-date is usually not a bad thing. Wink
Also I had a bit choppy performance maybe it's improved. I have to try it some more but so far the new crack seems to work fine.

I didn't have any save problems after patching.Used the patch and the new crack, resumed from the 3rd level, everything's fine.Win7RC(7100)

I had only one crash and it was the very first time i started the game after installing (the game, not the update), it couldn't load the level and just crashed, after that it was working fine.

Decent game. Finished it for about 5-6 hours on rookie. But has some odd and non-polished stuff in it. Where's the leaning on walls and peeking off corners which are standard moves in most stealth games? Lots of AI problems - random choice of bots to inspect or not a killed mate, whistling seems to work on a few chosen ones (i whistle among a group of nazis, only one hears it), sometimes i can walk near a guard and he doesn't notice me. Consolish feel of the whole game itself. Extremely motion blurred graphics + closed usage of color maps. But on maxed settings + 1680x1050 is a real beauty. Although i liked the atmosphere and great spooky and a bit gothic environments of surrounding influence.
Not a bad game of course but it surely needed some extra months of work on it.
7/10 Smile

"Application load error" is a steamstub error and is caused by wrong settings on the revloader. Like missing steam_appid.txt or wrong value in it. Also, comment the SteamclientDll line to be sure.

Also, there is a new version of revloader out. Read the changes.

Reason i say it is because i went from beta drivers back to WHQL's and the game worked for me.
