install game / install patch / put that files vca.bin where they must to be / apply the patch in /system , patch it , done / play , should work without problems

then goto tages folder and delete the vca.bin & serial.txt files
Uninstall & reInstall
1. Install game DO NOT RUN !
2.Patch To Version 1.01
3. Run game to get it to ask for serial number, DONT NOT ENTER ANYTHING just CANCEL!!
(This creates the needed TAGES folders.)
4.Copy over the vca.bin & serial.txt files
Depending On Your system:
Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Tages\100663362
VISTA / WIN7
C:\programData\Tages\100663362
5.Copy Patch.exe to installed folder "Atari\The Chronicles of Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena\System\Win32_x86" Folder.
6.Double click on patch.exe to get it to patch the dll file.
7. Should be able to now start the game, without any problems

when i enter the game for the first time (you need to do that to create the tages folder) i put some numbers to fill in the blanks and press next and it gave me an error "could not register the game, etc"...
maybe its because of that? i need to unnistall the tages drivers?

just reinstall the game and skip step 3 from what pakrat2k2 said , the installer create auto the folder with tages

yeah im going to reinstall the game.
but i think you need to run the game one time to create the tages folder, because i didnt find any folder of tages but then i run the game one time and the folder was created.

Another thing to keep in mind, is some AV's detect the modified dvm.dll as a trojan

Yes thats normal
EDIT: i think the reason there isnt any text, for example, when you hit the about button, is because Darc0der released it saying its BETA and asking ppl to test it.
All the patch does is checks and backs up clientages.dat and dvm.dll and then copies the modified files to that directory. Well, i think anyway.

Hmm...
well mcafee detected a virus when i used the patch.exe, maybe it doesnt allow the patch to work as it should?
im downloading the iso again to reinstall it again,anyway ... :/

Yeah Avira detects the new dvm.dll as a trojan, so i've added it to the exception list ;p
I just finished Escape from Butcher Bay again, a bit short but great! Gonna start Dark Athena as it looks even more interesting

thanks man, was about to ask where can i find this tags folder and i found your helfull descriprion 
(fucking info..didn't say anything about runing the game first time to create the tags folder)

I finally got around to finishing EFBB today - and it was awesome! Loved the cryo-prison section .. and now I'm playing Dark Athena itself and while it's more action-oriented than EFBB, it's still excellent! Having a blast!

about the ban,we didn't have to be banned,
an a warn should be enough to stop the talking.
some guy posted serials and he got edit post and warn,but not banned.
and why we had been banned if the release is out?{not a scene one tough}

I got used to ban happy mods here. Majority of ban reasons are laughable and shouldn't be taken seriously, mods here are very biased and lack objectiveness.

Finally got it to work...it was the anti virus. If anyone is having problems...I recommend turning off all AV options (just until the install/patch is done..then turn back on).
With the AV on...the patch would not work.
Thanks for everyone help...now to find a trainer!

i had a similar problem... it was the mcafee that would reconize the patch.exe was a virus and it wont let it crack the game.
i have to turn off the anti virus to play the game, if i turn it on it will delete the dvm.dll file automatically. lol

Sabin is right.That's the way to go.
Always turn off AV when you're iinstalling a game.Then add all the executables of the game to the exception list of the AV.

I am using McAfee....how do add the Riddick files to the trusted list?
I just tried to run the game again...and it asked for the serial. I guess either I have to shut off McAfee when I want to run the game or add the file.
Can someone tell which files to add and how to McAfee?
