Nah, ignore the bullshit about the PC at the end. I've got the game running on an E7200 and a 4870 -- and it's 75fps all the way, vsync and 4xAA. There's no way an 8800GT struggles as much as they say :-\
Even disabling AA and enabling "High" SSAO still gives me 75fps locked.
1280x1024 res at the moment, too. Girlfriend still using the WS monitor *sigh*

Oh I know that, but my point is; I'm running the game MAX and it never drops. They claim they're struggling to get stable 30fps with a mixture of settings. Sheesh, I know the 8800GT is about half the power of the 4870 -- but it's not THAT bad, surely?

Ok after playing Dark Athena i decided to play Escape from butcher bay again (been a while since i played it, like 5 years) and man what a game! Dark Athena is a bit shorter and more action less searching. All in all great 2 games for the price of one, and the graphics are the same as dark athena.

Have you tried the Pitch Black mode? It's the only part of MP worth devoting any time to. Actually had quite a lot of fun hunting noobs in the dark.

This game isn't stealth patched either according to XDVDMulleterBeta10.2 & abgx360. I don't get this more and more games are coming out which aren't stealth patched and don't have them, am I missing something ?

Yes, you're missing the point.. lol. You're checking BRAND NEW games against a database that doesn't have them yet. Games aren't "stealth patched" unless something went wrong. Stealthed just means they are perfect rips of the original source.
Give it a few days or weeks and the abgx database will be updated with verified and confirmed SS info with which to check the games against.

The games are 'stealth patched', there's just nothing in the database to compare them with. That's what Sabin meant. The apps just check if the needed sectors are present. If yes, it's all right. If no, the Ixtreme FW won't boot it anyway. A databse check is just an extra security measure.

Well "video file is broken" most likely refers to the Wave3 partition .. and it's not an error, it's part of the disk. Try abgx360 1.01, the latest release, not many people use Mulleter any more.

v0.9.4 is not the latest version. That version doesn't know what to do with 3rd Wave games, so it says it's broken.
