Have you tried renaming the files?
(Unsure if it's required or how they detect each other but ideally they should match aside from the extension of course.)

What version of Daemon Tools by the way, older versions might not handle the more recent MDF/MDS file versions (Seems it can be updated/changed.) whereas newer versions should be able to handle them.

I removed the - from the image and it didn't work.

I have a pretty old Pro version, 4.10.0218.0, so I'll guess its time to upgrade.

Edit: Wow nvm upgrading to the the latest (pirated) version of Pro. To much of a hassle. I think im going back to the free lite version.

The only reason i used Pro was for 1 game that required the ide-virtual drive, and i cant even remember which game it was Laughing

Has anyone been able to determine if this game has widescreen resolution support? Because from what I can tell the config options only allow for up to 1600 x 1200. Which is shit. Especially when AoP1 had widescreen support.

Looks like you can change the resolution in the engine.ini file just set mine to run at 1440x900 and it works

Dig around google a bit, find a usenet server with a free trial that doesn't require a creditcard. Figuring out from there how and what to download shouldn't be much of an issue, if you're not retarded. Is what i did, about to finish the download.

Hoping it turns out to be as good as it should be, been waiting to play this for quite some time now.

Just use DT free, no need for DT Pro.

Ya using the engine.ini file you can definitely edit the resolution but it is a little stretched. Still much much better than the alternative. I seem to be having some sound problems though, a lot of static

Someone please post a mini-review once they've logged some hours in it.

While I enjoy naval rpg's (rare as they are) Russian games tend to be about as polished as a pumice stone and translated with the help of the resident english as a fifth language Vietnamese dyslexic Very Happy

They may make good naval combat games, but there's no point in playing an RPG if the language/story is so bad it hurts to read/listen to.

To get rid of that irritating sound stuttering; change UseMM = 1 to UseMM = 0 in the engine.ini

movement and gfx fine smooth as silk, but i have that sound crackling thing and ive locked up twice now cause of that i believe,, will try the engine.ini fix see if that works.

Edit: sound seems better now, sabin if ur reading check your CCC in full screen mode the game is not always firing the card up to the right gpu clock and activity says 0% most the time and stays at 44c here while playing lol. odd but looks like they fucked up on the windows/fullscreen sensing completely as it dont even register for me that im playing a game..

Well, Akella though have made a few decent games, so we'll see. Hard to be a God had tons of text / speech and it had no such problems. Well, it was based on literature though:p

Man,the gambling system is f*cked up or the AI is a damn good player(coufgcheatingb*stardcough). Very Happy
Just when it looks like you are winning in the dice game,by having 4 sixes, the Ai rerolls all his dices and gets 5 sixes just like that. And that happens more than just a couple of times...f*ck.

And who in the right mind thought that a tie in blackjack means the AI wins?

Seems that group Trivium had released a crack for the Russian version, perhaps it'll work with the clone that Platin just released?

Impossible to work out some of these jobs your goto do in the game though, Im playing as peter blood and STILL cant find where the thief who stole griffins armor and weapons...

no map, unsure if some of the places you need to be are in the local town or in the jungle areas.. I find it hard work sometimes.. Not a bad thing but annoying when you think you have exhausted your searching.

@Moosenoodles:
Could you maybe give some tips as it seems you are atleast somewhat further along in the Peter Blood questline.

I am at the part where I have to convince the 3 slaves to join me in the escape. I already got Hagthorpe by killing his enemy.
But how can I prevent Dyke from being sent off with Weston? I talked to a guy in the Tavern, this made Weston show up in a house near the moneylender. The problem is: He won't talk to me ("Get out of my house").
Also how can I get the money for Ogle the cannoneer? The moneylender knows about the debt but doesn't give any hints how to get the money.
