It looks like the seventh Call of Duty game is currently in production, according to the LinkedIn profile of David Kim, where the Treyarch Studios senior animator lists the following: "I am currently on my second title as a senior animator in the games industry with Activision / Treyarch on Call Of Duty 7." Thanks superannuation.

Did you even play CoD3? Most of hate towards CoD3 was because it wasn't on PC, and not because it's a bad game.

So we can only expect something new in the series with Cod 8 ( when the ball returns to IW)

Cod5 WaW, was alright, but looked and played like Cod4 Mw - Zero innovation

Cod 6 is looking to be another "expansion" from Cod4 then the "new" Cod7..

I guess they are waiting on the real next generation consoles to build a new game platform, keeping the 1 year release cycle till then.

I know I will be playing all the Cod´s SP part, but I don't foresee any of this titles to be good enough to convince me to buy them like with Cod2 and 4. I hope i´m wrong do.

Actually, all the rumors are saying it'll be set in Vietnam (which I love as a setting for FPSes; Battlefield Vietnam is one of my favorite games).

Haven't you noticed that World at War sold 10 million copies (in other words, every bit as many as COD4), and received solid critical reception across the board (85% on Metacritic)?

Ever since Battlefield 2 it's hard to impress me since I don't like imitating every other shooter walking/running/creeping around with a automatic weapon in my hands. It's not a real war unless you got every imaginable vehicle on the same battlefield at once...

Even though it has it's flaws there is nothing better to me than jumping into a chopper and reigning down hell while dodging jets - it gets your adrenaline rushing...
