Fuck this. That goddamn Cab viewer won't run. Tried that library files.exe (before it was posted/suggested), tried to manually registered it...I don't know what else to do. Aside from this "working" copy thats apparently out (my last hope).

Cuz I am not buying this until I atleast play it for a little to see if I like it (to many mixed review) and especially since the fuckin Dev company screwed up their own installer...wtf?

Sucks cuz I just saw the movie Sad

While I don't know how official it is (It's not a proper "Scene" release, NoGrp after all.) there's another release out now that you just unpack and play. Smile

Terminator Salvation WORKING DVDRIP-NoGrp
(Or something like that, misses dots and such probably.)

Install Instructions:

1. Extract the game in your computer
2. Extract mini-image from CRACK.rar
3. Copy YASU.exe from the arhive to DAEMON installation folder
4. Mount image (from the CRACK arhive) in Daemon Tools (use 4.30.4 or later)
5. Go to Daemon Preferences->Advanced and check all the options available (SafeDisc, SecuROM, etc.)
6. Run YASU.exe, press CLOAK
7. Start the game from TerminatorSalvation.exe
8. ENJOY

*-If you receive an error with physxloader.dll, please install PhysX (from the PhysX folder)

Yep, thats the release I was talking about.

But Newty's and the rest of you guys who figured out the original release got it right. Thanks! Very Happy

Been playing for a little, runs smooth.

NOTE - For those getting "Please insert original disc instead of backup" error, make sure your optical drives (DVD Drives and such have no disc's in them) and make sure external HD's are turned off or disconnected.
Soon as I did that, game ran perfectly. Think I will prolly pick this up. I like it. Not so true to the movie but still fun imo. Gunna buy a boxed version and I wanna wait till Grin fixes it's GIANT mistake.

Again, thanks to everyone who figured this out for the rest of us Smile

And a special thanks to Newty for a different link to the Cab viewer Smile

Off to play! Twisted Evil

It's actually a prequel to the movie from what I've understood, two years before the events in it or something like that. Smile
(Kinda like the Riddick game being before the movie events.)

How do I cloak it?
I placed the DTE in my DT pro folder, ran it but when I try to cloak the drive where Terminator is in (vIDE) I get cloaking not allowed when I press with my right mouse button on it. What am I doing wrong?
I have Dte 2.2.10

What version of Daemon Tools (Pro as you use vIDE) DTE only works with the latest versions, could try YASU as well (Daemon Tools forums, has it's own section, no need to register or anything.) as the latest version now works with current SecuROM/SafeDisc protections (It's actually a bit more recent than DTE). I got Daemon Tools Pro Advanced Edition v4.10.0218, I tried YASU 1.6 But that said something like: can't find Daemon Tools Pro or Daemon Tools lite.

Unfortunately that version is very outdated and the way YASU detects Daemon Tools was updated (Dll file change, Yasu 1.5 might still work but I don't know if it'll be able to cloak successfully or if the protection will detect it.)

Unless you absolutely need DT Pro I would recommend removing it and using the latest version of DT Lite, however it might be possible to have both installed.
(vIDE via DT Pro and vSCSI via DT Lite.)

I am experiencing audio glitches in the dialogue.

Bits from the sentences are simply cut out and they move on to the next sentence which too is only half spoken.

I downloaded some russian repack(can be swtiched to english btw) of the terminator. It has a small image file inside it. The release works fine with dtlite + latest yasu. But there's a major problem. I play for a couple of minutes and the game crashes with the 'the application has terminated unexpectedly' error. And that's everytime.

Just extract and it's done. Maybe you have file extensions hidden? Razz

.... if that's the case, you've just broken all the files, lol. Rename them again and remove the added extension.

whaa, yes i do Razz

i don't have the extensions hidden. that cab viewer saves the files without any extension, if i don't type it manually. i'll save them like this, though, and i'll bulk-rename them all afterwards, should be faster that way. here's how the extraction looks like for me (the files that are already saved have extensions because i added them)

Then you've got a broken extractor then - because I know for a FACT that the .hdr extractor we've all been using works perfectly and extracts with EXTENSIONS.

Sorry, but you've been doing something wrong mate.

It takes more than 4 hours to beat it, more like 6/7 imo. In fact, i enjoyed this a lot more than wanted.

Well... i beat it, nice game. 6.9/10 for me.

I've been playing on hard to get a bit of challenge to compensate for the low playtime (Small levels mainly.) and it's been enjoyable so far albeit with some minor annoyances.

AI allies don't really do much of anything so you usually try to take down every enemy by yourself unless they get some lucky hits in (That tank robot thing for example if you make it turn towards you and they shoot it in the back.) and cover is a bit sparse and low-cut or what to call it as the enemies still hit me when I'm behind it. (Head usually sticks out, can't jump or crouch either.) currently on the third chapter tossing pipe bombs on cyborgs and the above is really making this challenging as I can't hide from their gunfire properly and the allied troopers do nothing of consequence, they hit them a bit but nowhere near enough to expose their internal systems in order to take them down properly so I've progressed rather slowly. Very Happy
(Some of the bosses you do fight are fun as well, shame I couldn't take on that "harvester" thing as it could have been a cool fight.)

Oh and those flying drones are damn annoying, thankfully a shotgun blast or two will take them down pretty fast and accurately even from longer distances.
(They're pretty harmless though unless there's a swarm of them.)

(Blood could improve things a bit come to think of it, not for the robots of course but for all corpses and human resistance fighters that are shot and otherwise disposed of.)

Even on normal difficulty 3 hours is not enough to beat it. Reviewers tend to say "4 hours" "6 hours", provided that you play nonstop and you know what to do. I don´t time yourself when playing a game lol, but i´m sure it took me more than 4 hours for sure.

It was enough for me (provided normal difficulty is a joke). And normally i don't listen to reviewers. God knows what kind of snails they are when playing a game.
