yeah the game is pretty sweet so far i really like it
but i hate that stuttering when moving the camera around the town
anymore people getting it?

So how do you make a pool? I know how to make a pond, but how the hell do you manage a pool that people will swim in?
EDIT: Ah fuck. Why did I think there was a "sink" tool in the build menu. Sheesh.

That's not a bug.
That's the embargo officer that shows up to confiscate your stuff when you don't pay your bills for a while.  |
What sucks, is one it gets to that point, theres no way of saying "No stop! Don't send the repo man!". Although now that I think of it. . .if you remove the door from your house - they cant get in. Or making it so that you lock the repo man in a wall. That would be pretty sweet. |
A day or so before the embargo dude shows up you get a warning that it's the last day to pay your bills. If you accept to pay them then, the money's automatically deducted and your Sim doesn't even have to go to the mailbox.
Anyway, as for my own experience, I haven't had any crashes nor savegame troubles.
My Sim's Leader of the Free World (Political career, level 10) at this point, and makes $857 per hour (after several normal and opportunity-induced raises), working three days a week from 9:00am to 1:30pm.
He's also an excellent cook and writer (both level 9), but he's only written 4 or so books in total, the most popular being his recent mystery novel, "The Librarian".  He gets around $1300 in royalties per week for that one. Before that book, the most profitable one was his political memoirs, "Yes I could!" (~$650 royalties).
No marriage candidate yet, as girls in town tend to be rather plain. He's been banging around occasionally, but none of them is hot enough to keep. 
Perhaps he should marry a mediocre chick and then do her an extreme makeover in game, though outfit/hair changes and perhaps a plastic surgery or three.

Had my first crash. The buy menu went black, and when I went into live mode, it crashed without an error.

had my first bug in game after I start new game my sim started to change cloth without reason.
ex. when she go to eat something she change in batch suit or when go sleep she start to wear cloth for visit someone etc.
I tried to delete that sim and create new one bu didnt help. Every sim i create do the same, and its sometime annoying when you go to buy book and before enter the shop change cloth to batch suit.

From Spore, EA have started to use Transgaming Cider on their PC releases, so they can run on Macs too. You drop the cracked exe into the macc app (its a bit more longwinded, but you get the idea) and it works. Installed the release on my gf's iMac.

Speaking of Spore the file layout is very similar and it also uses those containers/archives to store files so with a bit of work unpacking and perhaps even altering the game data should be possible.

EDIT: To the above, is it possible that the "Sim" was doing something with the baby or carrying it around and then decided to leave without first putting the baby down?
(Seems to happen now and then from what I've read in this thread, other objects though and not a baby, aside from that one a few posts back where a Sim took the baby to a date by accident.)

At times I think the game is a bit flawed in the sense that with any new toon you can chat up holly alto, romance her, fuck er little pert titties off, she had a kid everytime with me on first sex session got up the duff instantly and was able to marry her and move in. All in the same day lol.
Then mover her parents out to somewhere more comfortable for those aging buggers and break off the marriage and sell the house and profit. Ching ching 240k richer..

for aging, i know that if you disable it it applies to thw whole town.
but what about Free will? does lowering it affects only the active household or the whole town as well?
