Little King's Story

  • Official web page: LittleKingsStory.com
  • Publisher: Marvelous Entertainment
  • Developer: Cing
  • Genre: Simulation RPG
  • Release date: US: TBA 2009 // Japan: TBA 2009 // Europe: April 24, 2009
  • Story/Description:
    Quote:

As King, players will manage and involve their townspeople in the goals of creating this new territory; enlisting them to dig for treasure, build new buildings and otherwise better their community. Of course, leadership is a two-way street, so as King, players will try to conquer rival nations to create a single unified kingdom, while also granting the requests of townspeople at whim. The game transforms the Wii Remote to a royal scepter and offers players the chance to be the best king in the world!

Little King's Story has an art style that is very 'story-book' in look and a magical fairy tale quality that will intrigue and delight gamers. The storyline, visual look, and lyrical music of Little King’s Story, work in concert to transport players to an interactive, enchanting, fairy tale world. By combining gameplay elements from life-simulation, real-time strategy, and adventure genres, the many aspects of creating a vast kingdom come to life!

I missed this one. Probably because it's PAL. I'm grabbing it now cause it looks pretty sweet and the review is promising.

Has anyone had the chance to play it yet ..if so care to share?.
Have been wanting to find a nice Wii game to play recently. Reviews and reception generally sound positive.. plus I'm digging the way all those cartoony troops follow the king around in this game Smile.

I haven't burned it yet because I have way to many family members over staying for Memorial Day, but tomorrow I'll sneak in some game time and I'll throw up a mini review if I can.

It's an awesome game, a little like Pikmin but with more adventure and charm.

Nope, doesn't work under Dolphin - there's screen-flicker, sadly.

I can't believe that the game doesn't have cursor based controls! Nintendo even re-released both Pikmin games with Wiimote controls and still the developer of this title didn't bother. That's very strange. Imo it would be so much better than the awkward targeting system it has right now.
