I read that the RLD version of sims 3 was a beta. Is it true?

It's not final atleast.

So what about this release? Can you patch to the new version without problems or do you need a crack?

lol what? "playing on very easy"?
There are no difficulty levels, this is The Sims.. The thing when you click on households that show their difficulty however, i dont know what that is. But since you cant change it its prolly just to indicate that a household with 8 people and 100 bucks is considered hard, while 1 guy alone with 20k starting cash (as is the default) is considered easy.

Like, if you buy an expensive house from the start its considered more difficulty since you have less money over.
But the actual gameplay or ai itself doesnt change, its The Sims.

Difficulty is determined by the traits you chose, like perfectionist, grumpy, etc. If you chose disadvantages, you'll get a hard family.

The new city doesn't seem to be in the 632 patch, so i guess they really won't release it until the retail release.

Yeah, it wasn't a binary change, so the same crack works apparently.

I never had any problems with using the launcher and internet, so i can't speak for that, but if you're scared just launch the executable directly.

So, the Razor crackfix is ok to use on the razor release AFTER you patch it as well? (to version 1.0.632.00107)?

But that doesn't mean all or if any of the changes in the patch will be working. Backup the original .exe after patching.

The patch doesn't make big changes on the EXE
It just puts back the DVD check.
The size of the EXE files remains the same.
So, you can copy back the crackfix

Surely you mean http://na.llnet.eadownloads.ea.com/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/Sims3_1.0.632.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe (Worldwide non DD version)

My razor version lists as 1.0.631.00002, so it'd make little sense to apply the 1.0.631.00107 to 1.0.632.00107 patch to that Razz

Well, I think the difficulty lies primarily in the aging setting you've chosen. Of course it's too easy if you turn aging off or use Epic speed (as I've found). I'd guess the game's balanced for Normal speed, Long at best, because you're not really supposed to have young adults as leaders of half the planet ("Free World").

The shorter the Sim lives, the harder it is to get far up the rungs, level several skills, make yourself known in the painting/writing business, have kids, etc. before you're a decrepit old fart and realize you're kicking the bucket the day after tomorrow.

You'd get bored of the game in a day or two. :/

Dunno if there's a cheat that does that, but there might be one that gives you Life Achievement points, which you can use to make yourself less dependent on certain biological functions (like eating, showering, peeing and crapping).

I haven't gotten most of those perks (just the Steel Bladder, and I regret it), since it kills a good portion of the gameplay as far as that Sim's concerned.

I'm definitely buying this when its released to the stores. I personally think the devs did a great job with all the different types of animations and emotions for everything. A huge improvement from its predecessors. Only disappointment is they didn't include pets, which I'm sure they will with the tons of expansion packs I'm sure they have planned. Nice to see they at least included vehicles though.

I have a few questions about the game:

Other than the gym, is it possible to see what your sim(s) are doing inside the hospital and watch the birth of your child? Watch them perform their duties at work etc? When my sims had a baby they both went to the hospital, but when I zoomed in, I couldn't see anything. Same thing happens when they are at work. Is this normal?

Also, is it possible to only age certain sims? While I don't want my wife and myself to age, I'd like our son to grow from infant to toddler. I was wondering if that is possible.

And is it possible to make toy robots etc like in the last sims?

- You can't see what happens inside most downtown public buildings, like the city hall, hospital, bookstore, etc.

- You can't stop aging for particular Sims (disabling aging freezes the entire neighbourhood in time) without exotic items (Ambrosia and the fruit from the Tree of Life), but you can accelerate any given Sim's aging by buying the Inferno Birthday Cake (Outdoor -> Outdoor Activities section). Then you blow the candles with any Sim, and then you pick whose birthday is it. The target Sim must be in the house.

- It's not possible to make toy robots, as far as I know, but then I haven't explored the science career yet. Who knows what goodies that could bring.
