ism smishm.

I say I discount huge space games because thats what they are. Space. Empty space. Its not a gameworld. Its a gamespace. Worlds are usually filled more then they are empty in my mind.

Again, we're going into the realms of "space sims" now - and, as discussed, they shouldn't be included because they are not "worlds" - they are infinite black voids dotted with stations.

Elder Scrolls programmer, the game's sequel, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is 0.01% the size of Daggerfall...

LOL, damn...

I wanted to try Arena from Bethesda, but cant get it to run properly even in DOSBox... Sad...
Still gonna try to get it running, want to try it out...
I played it in DOS many years ago...

What about EverQuest? Its what 11 years old now and has countless expansions. Last time I talked to someone who played it years ago he told me there are whole continents from older expansions that are complete ghost towns.

If they are still making expansions for it then its got to be the biggest game by now...

400 km2 of wide open land to wage war on FPS style.



btw, its predecessor, Operation Flashpoint (OFP) also had a freakin huge island to play on. I think that was some 100 or so square kilometers.
