You need to have these files in your SteamApps folder to run the game.. half-life 2 content.gcf platform.gcf half-life source.gcf (doh!) source engine.gcf source materials.gcf source models.gcf Source Shared Securom.gcf source sounds.gcf

Odd. I never got it using the Vengeance emu 2.01 and I played through the whole game. I do however get it using ppatcher to play through steam.

Are you talking about HLS? There is no SteamEmu2.01 for HLS, the SteamEmu2.50 is included with the release...

Yes there was. Check the Veng Update 3.

Hi, I installed the Vengeance Halflife Source, and after that i put the "half life source.gcf" in SteamApps/User ... i removed the ; before the GCF07 in the valve\steam\steamapps\user\half-life 2\steamunu.ini file, too. But when i start with hl2.exe -steamlocal -game hl1 or hl2.exe -steam -game hl1 i get the error: gameinfo.txt doesn`t exist in hl1 ????? How does this file look like and where must i place it ? Anyone an idea ?? Want to play the Braindead Mod 1.2 g g. PS: i start with the hl2.exe from the D:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\User\Half-Life 2 directory
