Wonder if they'll crack the update though, it fixes quite a few initial bugs and errors.
(Might perhaps not happen until it's released outside of beta however.)

Lolozaur the size is correct, German version already uses English audio so those files only contain the text, PBO files compress pretty well though so it's a bit larger unpacked.
For the different releases I guess that DVD9 is a clone whereas Genesis cracked the game, clone might work better with futre patches or with a mini-image (Until properly cracked) but from what I've read Genesis will handle game updates, unsure about that FADE protection stuff but I guess both versions use a legit serial currently (Crack might interfere though.) albeit Bohemia might blacklist it in future updates.
EDIT: Armaholic already has a few mods for this title by the way, converted missions (From OFP to ArmA and then to ArmA 2) and a semi working vehicle (Helicopter).

There is alot of fucked up posts here regarding whats what and if anything works and what the naming of each file/download details are really. I have a feeling Jbeckman is excited lol  as normaly he lays out his posts in a bullet type format so its easy to comprehende.
So I sudgest (only a sudgestion mind you ) that IF there is a working version (pirated) to an extent. Then to lay out in simple terms what it is, what relationship any cracks have to it etc.
Starts to get messy when other people posting about a crack from arma 1 that is now working for arma 2 etc.. wording is key, its hotest day so far this year here in UK (not sure about anywhere else) and I am sure many of us would rather have it on a plate than try to fathom what the fuck is what..
No offence was meant, just a bit or order would be neat right now
And I know Jbeckman is the guy to do it hehe..
p.s actually for this I think maybe a thread in the technical with an updated first page like leo did for DOW2 be even better.

Anyone experienced this?

just check it out on trend virus web checker or kaspersky etc, use something other than avg before you condemn it.

I can confirm this has fade, but I do not know what triggered it.
After a bit of playing a text appeared in the middle of the screen saying: "Cracked game ma fade", text slowly dissapeared and then after awhile there was a sound of a fanfare and the game logo appeared, among with the makers name and logo, etc. - shortly the game returned with a sort of "drunken view" similar to GTAIV.
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

haha yeah same as arma 1 then.. was eventually removed I think but still its no good shooting drunk is it hehe. |
