Went and saw Terminator 4 today.
8/10
Was pretty good with good effects and all.
My family and I all thought Star Trek was better though.
The theater experience didn't help. The freaking lights came on for about 45 minutes of the movie. I complained and got tickets to come back and see whatever movie we want on the house.
Well worth a go and see. Great action and all. I did enjoy Star Trek more for whatever reason.

Maybe because Star Trek was a very nice mindless action movie?

Good documentary, gives you Mike's own perspective on his life.
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Bronson - 8/10
It was a well put together movie although you can tell it's being told by Bronson himself because half of it seems very biased against the system but he's such an interesting character to watch so it's alright, he's also a local legend around where I live so it's nice to see why he's so famous. It's not better than Chopper though.

Drag Me To Hell
9.5/10
hell YES. Classic.
Can't wait to add this to my collection along with Army Of Darkness, Evil Dead, and Evil Dead II.
Sam Rami is back at what he does best.
Would have been a 10 had it had the over the top gore of Evil Dead.
Tons of fun. Most enjoyment I have had at them movies in quite a while.

rating movies while saying zilch about them is pretty cool. i mean, why rate the movie on imdb, where no one will know about it, when there are forums full of people that care? i always wanted to get into this, but i never knew exactly how. would anyone care to give some pointers? i mean, do you get into a special state of mind(lessness) for this? it's prolly some zen-like thing, right?
anyway, keep up the good work and let the world know exactly how much you liked every movie that you ever watched. and if at first the world doesn't seem to care, make it your bitch and force it to suck it down.
oh, ok, lemme give this a try too.

W.Delta.Z.2007.REPACK.720p.BluRay.x264-RESiSTANCE
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0804552/
3/10 ... craptastic UK serial killer movie (kind of a shitty version of se7en). BDRIP was just released so I figured I'd give it a shot since it is on the Dimension Extreme label ... man what a fucking piece of dog shit.
The.Children.LIMITED.720p.BluRay.x264-iNFAMOUS
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1172571/
I actually watched another movie by the same director about some psycho kids who go apeshit on their parents ... it wasn't all that bad .. maybe 6/10 and nowhere as bad as this shit. at least you get to see some asshole kids get what's coming to them.

oh lol... i'm sure you'd want us to tell you that the graphics were awesome that this was awesome. if a movie's good good people will provide decent descriptions and what not. if the movie is a summer blockbuster people will just give it a rating. if it's a movie people haven't seen and it's a good rating we'll ask questions...
nice try though... but you fail at funny

that wasn't meant to be funny, it was supposed to be offensive. but if you thought it was a joke attempt i guess i failed at that too
and no, i wouldn't want people to tell me that the gfx were awesome for every blockbuster that comes out, since i don't care much for blockbusters. and i care even less for random ratings for said blockbusters.
nicely worded post, but you missed my point. i'll give it a 6 for the effort |
Describing what you liked about a movie and what you didnt like can set minds of others to look for thse flaws and whatever.
When i say like x/10 i give a rating for the feeling i had after the movie. I mean thats's what matters, and not taking the movie apart into bricks and saying the movie is okay, only if sam's eyebrows have glown neon and he had a broomstick for a spine. Ifl those things were there than the movie would have been better. Its nearly immposible to exactly pinpoint what you liked and didnt like in a movie. So insted of trying to analyze the thing and going for a complex mathematical equation where i have the average scores for acting, screen play, screen color tint, actors makeup, cgi etc etc i try to summurize all of this by the feelin you get after you step out of the cinema hall.
Did I like the movie? Yes i did
How much did i like it? About an 8.5 i guess. Not as good as T2, not as bad as Uwe Boll. Why exactly 8, dunno, felt like an 8.5

Gran Torino 10/10 - Clint Eastwood has been perfect all of his career, it's amazing how flawless he always is and how he can carry a movie solo. This movie is pretty heartbreaking because you know he's not going to be around for much longer. I really hope he makes another movie or atleast directs one... possibly even a Dirty Harry flick. It would make my year.

Aww, come on nouse, that was a great movie for kids. I watched it when I was a kid, and enjoyed it greatly. Not everything has to be ultra-serious, sometimes funny is also great.
Another good Stallone flick was Tango and Cash. Having Kurt Russel dress as a hooker is priceless!
