does this arma have post processing option? that was all that helped reduce it in arma 1

Kinda liked it in arma though... There were also mods to reduce sun glare and all that so you will get it for arma2 as well im sure.

So am I the only one constantly getting vundo keylogger messages when trying to apply the crack from genesis no matter where I download it from? Both AVG and Kaspersky gives me the messages.

In AVG Go into shell extensions > manage > then add an exception to the ARMA 2 folder, that works fine then, not sure about Kapersky.

Also would anybody know if this Vundo keylogger is a false positive??? Am a bit worried about it being a real threat.

I'm loving this so far, it seems alot more accessible than the previous games in terms of controls, and the Performance is good on my SLI 8800GT set up average 30 > 40 FPS on a mix of high and very high @1680X1050 so well playable and not too bad on all very high, but there seems to be a little input lag when moving the mouse around quickly but is fine when you move very slowly to aim so not sure if the game is meant to do this?
it reminds me of the desert storm and spec ops games on the PSX 1 Very Happy Back to shooting insurgents.

I don't have the game, but I downloaded the crack only and checked it (bytecount:23.121.920) They have some initialization code and then they load their genesis.dll and jump to game code, but the crack-only I downloaded doesn't include that file (p2p shit, damnit)

It's just a funky crack, that's all. (has some funny messages also, heh)

OK Thanks for the video but it didnt help me much, sure it showed a guy placing a satchel, so maybe I shoul;d put it another way, what keys do I need to press to initialise placing the charge? to equip it etc? Also Do I need to select it in my loadout before starting the mission?

Well installed it, used mds file for mounting with DT lite latest, and latest yasu and starts up fine, plays fine, no fade yet at all of course due to exe is original i guess, mp wont let u join of course cause of key Very Happy ... you can also install this btw with all 0000's in the key entry part.. not just the serial given with the package.

Impressed with the looks and the way it runs so far, just curious if anyone knows if "filtering option is theyre way of calling it how much AntiAliasing do you want lol. Cause ive not seen an option for it and if filtering is on low or even half and i set AA with my card it doesnt do squat.. Raising filtering in game to 150 or max 200 seems to change it though.

EDIT: ah found the AA thing..

"No AA settings. Instead you have "Fillrate optimiser" which is like AA (100% = no AA, 150% = 2xFSAA, 200% = 4xFSAA) only it's much more demanding"

Nasty, i got it on 150 and its fine with my ati edge detect as its pretty much superior with that than say nvidias AA but heck why put it on the game like that... its why we buy high end cards to use it ffs lol..

Actually "moosenoodles" if fillrate 150% equals 2xAA then Edge Detect won't be utilized as it needs 4xAA to kick in, of course this doesn't matter at all as the game doesn't use AA and instead uses a shader based filter or something. Smile
(There's a AA line in the config file but it's set o 0)

Oh and use the command line paramter -nosplash from ArmA 1 to skip logos and such, works just fine. Smile
(Profile setting also work if you want to move settings and such and others probalby work as well like forcing to to render a blank main menu instead of that 3D preview.)

EDIT: That fillrate option is very demanding though (Especially on the main "Chernarus" map), I sacrificed view distance a bit and set it to 125 (133 also works before you hit 150) and I average about 26 - 30 FPS, Crossfire probably isn't in full effect yet though until the next driver revision.
(Might work to rename the EXE to ArmA but I haven't tried that yet.)

EDIT: Some screens showing the above, wonder what'll happen in a dense forest or larger city. Very Happy
(Might have to abandon fillrate at the moment - 100% that is as lower looks blurry - and go with a increase in view distance instead.)

http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/5426/arma22009060107060492.jpg

EDIT: Did a comparison, fillrate is that Render_H Render_W (Height/Width?) in the render config file but figuring it which values are what will be difficult.
(Seems to be resolution based however as the base for 100% and a resolution of 1680x1050 is 1653x1033 whereas 125% is 1982x1239)

EDIT: Just going to quote this from what I wrote on another site.

 Spoiler:

EDIT: For launch parameters in addition to -nosplash the commands -window and -world=empty also work.

Keep in mind that ATi's Edge-Detection AA mehtod only kicks in at 4xAA and 8xAA. So setting your game to 2xAA most probably won't do anything in this regard. Try setting it to 200%, there could be a HUGE increase in quality (and probably lag as well, hehe). On the other hand, maybe Edge-Detected AA won't even work, at all, due to nature of Arma's fake AA method.

I have run into 1 script bug so fare. I was given a mission to locate a sniper and take him out. I ended up finding an abandoned and damaged APC Cool i used to drive up and kill the sniper with using the mounted machine gun. The kill counted as "an Allied unit had killed him" so I failed the mission Rolling Eyes ... Also the game does not use Crossfire with default settings, hopefully that will chance soo but in the meantime add -winxp in the shortcut to force crossfire.

@Grale
In XP for me it only works in vIDE of DT Pro Advanced + DTE (DAEMON Tools Extensions).
DTE has to be closed after use.

There's also a string value called "MAIN" with the path to where it was installed, unsure if that helps with the key issue though.
(What you wrote in your post is correct however if you have x64 OS you might need to move it so that it reads Hkey_Local_Machine->Software->Wow6432Node->Bohemia Interactive Studio->ArmA 2)

EDIT: Following what I wrote above here's the available command line parameters.
(Did a search for "nosplash" in the EXE via hex-editor, should be all of them.)
