Finally had my first burglar lol.

I'm finding the collector's challenges quite...well challenging lol. According to the game I haven't found all the gems. What is there other then the obvious like topaz, ruby, diamond, emerald etc. I found the odd tanzinite, smokey quartz, rainbox gem. What else is there.

Even with the collector's reward where it shows you on the map locations of rocks and gems, its still a pain in the ass. Its too bad it doesn't tell you which type of rock/gem it is.

Same thing with space rocks. I found a giantic one worth 6.5k, yet I've only got the amateur challenge completed.

I had my first burglar too lol.
The cop came, fought with the burglar, didnt seem that anyone won. And the fucking burglar ran away while the cop stood still looking at my wife!
Then he tried to chat her up! Mad
What kind of cop is that? Is this Miami Vice or something? Laughing

Nice decorations, espaciall if you send them to be cut (nothing like a huge tower of gold ingots surrounded by brilliantly cut diamonds and rubies Smile ).

EDIT: That huge house was way too big, so I bought that little wooden house at the end of a road (near the science center).

After a little redecorating and some alteration to the layout of the building, here's the end result.

Ground floor. Added the fireplace, replaced the stairs, and altered a few walls. And of course, complete refurnishing.

2nd floor Some wall alterations as well, deleted a piece of the roof and placed that balcony in its place (good for stargazing, painting still lifes and just relaxing).

OutsideAlmsot the same as I bought it. Added a few plants here and there, added railings to the "bridge", but nothing major.

The game uses no protection apart from a very simple disc check, There will be no issues updating.

As DeMoN064 said, it will take 5mins for a cracker to take the simple disk check off the new patched .exe

Smash the dam over, should make riverview leak pretty well all over the place.

You probably should try and ask an EA employee if him or her is willing to leak it for you.

As zmed stated, for decoration. Also its a good source of making some good cash. I'm going to make a room kinda of like a vault and put all my gold and diamonds etc in it lol.

Zmed, very nice house Wink When I started, I was a fat slob with no job. Then I broke up a marriage with a woman that had the house up on the cliff near the water and moved in with her lol. Now we are married and I own 3 business downtown and write best selling novels lol.

I have to admit that I've started directly with building a house (loftstyle) from scap, inspired from a sims 2 design I saw on the net. Only for the exteriour. The interiour is my own style, base & upfloor. I'll upload pictures soon.

It has a value of around 300k. Motherlode did help alot Smile

EA officially released The Sims 3 store prices and it has left several consumers upset, concerned, or refusing to buy anything due to the cost of items. An estimate to purchase all store items cost over $250, thats way over the retail price of $49.95.
I was lazy to do a calculation on all the items, but this is WAAAY much more than I thought it would be. I would have thought that they will be happy with twice the price of the old stuff pack system...but no...this is...no words can explain...

If they lower the prices to about 10% then I might consider buying it...

It's final as much as we know. It carries the "final" build number and can be patched - but nobody knows for absolute certainty until the retail game is release this week.

250 ? wow that's quite a lot.. if it's accurate..

Anyway after my my saves got corrupted (i'll pretend that there was event called аrmageddon for my sims Razz), i started a new game 5-6 days ago.. 4 sims, no aging.. i really am a perfectionist - so there are quite some things to do before get old Razz

So after all my sims reached lvl 10 career (the military & law enforcement look quite easy to level up compared to journalism & politics... not to mention the work time...Especially the astronaut has only one working day- 16hours tho) Now i can take all the attention on building up the 60x60 lot. I tried to do a 2 levels underground garage, but it looks quite ugly with the 1 cell non buildable area around the walls.. It's sad that the sim don't actually needs to go take the car out - or even open the garage doors.. but anyway..

Finally found the mysterious gnome that you guys talked about (tho it still stands still).. The catacombs are such a lovely place to visit Razz

One of my sims almost died in a fire once - tinkering with electricity can be a dangerous thing to do Razz

Still not a single burglar tried to visit me Sad Maybe the thieves got respect for my 2 athletic & brave & militiry/cop chicks Razz

The things that annoy me so far are mostly social - neglecting someone for even a day can drop him to distant friend (tho it's ok with the lifetime perk)

The other one is the lack of group communications - it would be great if there was an option "have a group conversation" (i find the invite to join conversation is pretty buggy)

it's a lovely game Razz

oh, a question - how/where to smelt/cut rocks and metals.. when i click the option the sim that carry it starts complaining that there is no route to do this..(i too want to build a l vault full with goodies ^^ )

edit: oh, the mailbox... thanks i'll see to it Razz

Um... :

How on earth does one improve the energy attribute? That bar is the most annoying one. Can't do much things as the bar quickly turns red and my sim needs to sleep. Is there a skill that helps? Food, drinks? And if the answer is yes, where on earth can those be found?

Oh, and since we are here: how does one creates PERFECT recipes? I am a cook master (lvl 10) and there aren't any special recipes.

Damn game! I never thought I'd play this so-called "girly" game and actually enjoying it. nfohump users are to blame!!1

My sim is now an uber special agent and makes 1k per hour at work. And I don't mention hacking, writing, painting and doing services for other sims that call me for help. Hm... I need now to try thieving.
