You mean possibly the date... not the "PC version". It has been confirmed time and time again for PC.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards

Alan Wake is, and was, always a PC game. It was originally the poster-child for DirectX 10. It just so happens that it's coming to the 360 to Rolling Eyes

Looks ok so far, but i hoped they would show some different aspects of the game. It just feels like any Resident Evil or Silent Hill game after watching that.

Atleast they have kept tornado in the game (at end of trailer), i just rewatched Remedy's intel demonstration from 2006 where they showed physics of the game using intel quad-core, i was so hyped after watching that back then.

edit: 2006 demostration

Since Windows 7 will appear in October with DX11 then Alan Wake will be outdated with DX10 only support.

Oh yeah, cause DX10 brought such an elevation in graphics over DX9. I can't wait to see what failure DX11 will be. Laughing

The whole point of the game is that you are free to explore the entire town, that was the original design ambition at least.

It's possible that had to compromise the scale of that to actually get the game released within the next decade, but I don't expect it to be utterly linear.

The New Alone in the Dark mixed with the gameplay mechanics of Obscure = Alan Awake

Perhaps mentioned, sorry if I missed that, but now it seems the release date slips into early 2010.

EDIT: Was mentioned, should have checked a bit better. Smile
(Also seems to be X360 exclusive for a while with PC following later.)

Already mentioned by Sam Lake himself @ E3

Nope, it was thought so after the presentation @ E3, but it was confirmed on official forums it comes to both PC & 360 at the same time.

Interview from a magazine article, not that good for PC users it seems.
(X360 being the only platform considered at the moment, also game has changed a bit.)
