i recently switched from an Athlon XP 3400+ to a Core 2 DUO @ 3 GHz machine and the game now runs at 3 times the speed.
can you IMAGINE how fun it was to watch that stupid sim to sleep on that old machine??! I READ A BOOK! ABOUT MATH!
the Moodlet manager is extreme and might ruin the game experience btw.

How on earth does one improve the energy attribute? That bar is the most annoying one. Can't do much things as the bar quickly turns red and my sim needs to sleep. Is there a skill that helps? Food, drinks? And if the answer is yes, where on earth can those be found?
Oh, and since we are here: how does one creates PERFECT recipes? I am a cook master (lvl 10) and there aren't any special recipes.
Damn game! I never thought I'd play this so-called "girly" game and actually enjoying it. nfohump users are to blame!!1
My sim is now an uber special agent and makes 1k per hour at work. And I don't mention hacking, writing, painting and doing services for other sims that call me for help. Hm... I need now to try thieving.

Your sims can be awake for roughly 24 hours before they need to sleep but they prefer doing it sooner.
As for creating perfect dishes your skill in a certain dish increases as you create it more often. Using better ingredients helps as well. |
Well, it's too bad that one can't cheat sleep. Half of the game time I spend sleeping.
Thx for the input! Now I need to find better ingredients. Someplace...

I think its this way: Whenever one of your needs is so low, that you are receiving a negative mood bonus from it, the moodlet manager WILL fill you up. Except for those times when it randomly sucks you dry, but as you noticed and fits with my "theory" that will only make it work the next time you cure yourself.
Still the Moodlet Manager is extreme and might ruin the fun. I only went to the toilet after i figured that thing out.

Heh, what were you expecting ?
Hey, wait, what if you could follow a military career, starting from a lowly private and working your way up to Delta Force by exterminating muslim terrorists and getting back your kidnapped family ? And you can enhance your badass-mofo skill in the shooting range or watching Steven Seagal movies !
We should make a petition for "The Sims 3 : Mayhem" expansion/DLC !

Registered at sims 3 website using legal key, downloaded free town and installed it on razor1911 release. The key used to install razor rls is not legal of course.
Sims 3 add-ons are *.sims3pack (or smth like that) files. When you double-click it, the game launcher pop-ups. You just choose the file in downloads section and press install. A few seconds and the add-on is ready to be used.
Btw, the free add-on includes not only the town, but also a few outdoor objects.

Could try searching if you know the filename, I guess it's "riverview.sims3pack" based on the above info, though so far I don't think it's anywhere aside from EA's website, though the game launched today in the US so we'll see.
(Or atleast that's the info I have from EA's digital store, EU release is on the 4th.)
