Honestly, Microsoft set a very high bar, but I wouldn't count Sony and Nintendo out just yet. This will be an interesting next couple of days.

I am counting Sony out already. Not because of the games, but because of the piss poor job their PR department and head hunchos do. Razz

MS conference delivered.
Metal gear, alan wake, codmw2, l4d3 and more.

What was that about the gears of war ala castlevania2d thing btw? Got connection lost for awhile there. Looked sweet what I saw though.

Nope as it was live stream, its kinda hard. But good thing is that all the trailers are up on www.gametrailers.com

Other than that you missed a new device that will revolutionare gaming, in the future at least (ms thinks). Looks like its gonna pwn the Wii Very Happy

Other than that; facebook and twitter on xbox 360, being able to stream movies (some 1080p) and TV shows. And a new Avatar game, dive cars with your avatar, at least its free.

But yeah check gametrailers.com. Sadly there where no real gameplay from crackdown 2 Sad
MW2 looks awesome tho Very Happy

Yep checked the Crackdown 2 vid and downloading the best quality version of the Splinter Cell gameplay vid, don't care about the rest really.

Ah well, at least I can see the other conferences - Gamespot's stream seems decent enough.

Mass Effect 2 gameplay looked pretty sweet - shame it didn't reveal anymore about how long we'll be able to actually play as Shepard.

^ They already showed ME2 in their Bioware segment, early in the conference.

The gamespot page still shows the "we're encoding..." message for MS conference; I heard IGN has the conference up now.

The showfloor map shows Eidos has Deus Ex 3 and Thief 4, and Bethesda Fallout: New Vegas - they better make live shows outta those, screw the rest. Razz

Yeah, you can check all the presenters here:

Still lots of gaps in the live show schedule, so hopefully we'll see an Eidos & Bethsoft presentations.

Whoa uncharted 2 looks very impressive. I only played the demo for the first one and i didnt really like how enemies kept respawning, but i think im going to go preorder this one. Just for the visuals and the impressive Assassin's creed platforming.
Im also positively surprised that they showed new area, i was totally expecting that old area we've seen before.
Edit: MAG also looks good for the scale of the game. Runs very well but I think its all locally, how would it handle 200+ people with different types of connections.
Dude shut up about statistics already, show us freaking games!!
80% tool kit price reduction sounds nice for developers, will i finally use my freaking psp!??!
heh that Japanese dude is pretty nervous and pretty awkward presentation, but dang GT sounds nice (800 freaking cars!) , but DAMN stop talking, show the gameplay! Are you serious, talked for 10 mins and all he showed was a trailer? wheres gameplay?
Hah was totally expecting some boos from people when Hideo came out.
FUCK YEAH, HANNA MONTANTA ON PSP!
Some very good titles coming to psp, maybe it is the time to dust off my psp.

Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

nintendo was totaly crap except for mario galaxi 2 with yoshi Smile

sony was good. liked uncharted... but that motion thingies looked too much beta imho, not like microsofts product.
also imho sony showed too many trailers. more ingame like m$ did is way more interesting.

Nintendo did what they had to do to stay in the game. Honestly, if you were expecting something different, you were going to be disappointed in the first place.

Opinion of Conferences

Microsoft: A+

Great hardware and Live features. Nathal looks great but i'm not sure how many hardcore games we'll see using it. My hope is this brings about the revial of the adventure genre. Its capabilities would work so well in this genre. Puzzle mini games, inventory interface and especially the voice function. Imagine a property like Heavy Rain using this form of control. I'm also chuffed about the Sky intergration. Cant wait for Prem League 09/10 through Live.

Of Course the games were all great and I can think of several AAA titles that weren't even mentioned.

Sony: B

It seemed to start off quiet slow, not sure we needed so much info about PSP. I like the look of PSP Go but it seems about as useful as the DSi. I see no real reason to upgrade and especially not at 250 euro. On the plus side I think the PS3 motion control could get hardcore gamers into the Wii Fad. I've always liked the concept of the Wii, heck I own one. But the games all suck and I just cant enjoy such poor GFX in 2009. If this gets a good base of launch titles I really think it could become a standard in TRUE next-gen gaming.

Game wise i'm looking forward to alot more titles on the PS3 this year then I thought. Still pale in comparison to 360, especially with their former exclusives. FFXIV Pissed me off big style though.

Nintendo: F

What can I say.... Motion Plus should be out over a year.

Games.... Red Steel looks decent, I was burned on the first one though. And the two biggest announcements, Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M. MG2 is the same exact game just different levels, hmmm been saying that for alot of years now though. And Metroid, never really a fan.

Solid E3 so far, but i want my 2 hrs back from Nintendo.

Sony conference was the best.

GT5 - WRC, Nascar, Damage
GT PSP - 800 cars
FFXII - more footage than the MS showing
Tons of PSP stuff
FFXIV - although it was an MMO -- disappointing
Uncharted 2 looks great
God of War 3 demo looked awesome - especially the guts bit
New Trico game - it's trico, 'nuff said
Motion Controller looks very precise, though it caused a few (an understatement) laughs
Agent - R* PS3 exclusive (though I doubt it'll stay that way)
Mod Nation something - track editor looks fun and easy to use

It was also the longest, so that's a plus. IRC 'xploded when the FFXIV announcement was brought up, but quickly forgotten. Also, the Hannah Montana PSP caused more applause than the entire Nintendo conference.

Microsoft, I thought it was pretty simple -- basically mostly just multiplatform games and it didn't help that basically all trailers were leaked a few days ago.
