i _hate_ fileplanet, and i cannot understand why gamecompanies continue to spread stuff through this stinking corporation. none of the information on fileplanet.com makes any sense, whenever i read it i get the feeling that they mean that i have to be a paying subscriber to get it, although the vivendi post said it the free account.
fileplanet screwed me last time i tried download a beta/demo too, though i cannot remember what bloody game it was.. call of duty? "free" for everyone 7days after their paying members received it.

Yeah fileplanet really sucks that way.
I really hate it how they try to get more paying subscribers having monopoly for releasing betas, and demo's etc. i think it's not a fair way to treat the gaming community to hold back on stuff unless you pay money to the almighty fileplanet which is the best in the world etc etc etc...... fuck the whole fileplanet corporation

Ok, is it Friday yet in ALL of North America or is it still Thursday on the west coast? Cause i've waited all fucking day now and they still haven't opened the damn beta.

Ok, do you know how many hours from now that is? Could you give me that in GMT+1 time? That's the timezone i'm in according to my windows taskbar clock. I'm pretty sure that's CET (central european time).

I'm pretty sure you wont have to pay for it. When you click on Swat 4 Subscribe now, it DOES show a page where you have to pay, but if you scroll down, you can click on "Free Basic Member", then they will ask you again if you're sure you don't wanna pay for their shit, say no and there you go, free membership for the open beta of Swat 4

Fucking fileplanet and gamespy and all that shit, and fuck the companies who co-operate with them.
It shows how much they care about us who are interested in the game and are fans of the series, but noooo you have to pay to play a demo of a game now because they have to get some more money in just in case people don't want to buy the game and instead download it.....well well well...look how some gaming companies become, corrupt.... they dont care about the fans and valuable players who might buy the game, well fuck them and fuck fileplanet and gamespy, they will never get a single cent from me, but i'll download this fucker just to be one of those who dont care, or dont have the money.
Oh yeah why not make us pay a few extra dollars to play a SAMPLE of an UNFINISHED game......GAY!

its just as stupid as the bittorrent-thing. there was this incredibly rediculous guide that everyone seemed to follow
1) setup server or computer on home connection with the default tracker-crap
2) add paypal link (most important step)
3) add 2-3 torrents either created by yourself or stolen from someplace else
4) add "news" feature saying you need donations to keep your "great" work going.
i'm like, wtf, why setup all this crap if you cannot make it work without people paying you anyway?
other people put some sort of service online because they want people to use it, to say "wow this is awsome, thanks" and that's it. the donations requests comes _after_ the service is so popular that it just cannot continue under the pressure from all the users without some help. (not counting having a banner or two, unless that banner is the only reason the service was created)
fileplanet offers absolutely nothing that they've done themselves, they take demos and patches, put them on their stinking site filled with ads and then force people to either stand in line for hours to get it or to purchase an account to get the stuff adfree and fast. ie you pay to download a demo/patch.
we're not getting anything from fileplanet, nothing except stuff that they've negotiated with publishers to be "first" and have a 2 week "no, you wont get to see this unless you PAY"-period. wtf, i could have done that. i can spit people in the face and say "no, you cant have it unless you shove money up my *ss"
i do understand the need for fast servers and lines, but how come other people can manage just as much traffic without forcing people to click ads (oh how i love the "blablabla is ad-enforced, click here to continue reading the review or stare at this flashad for 10 minutes to automatically continue) or pay to be able to use it. i can download demos/patches for free from ftp.sunet.se at a decent speed whenever i want to, and why doesn't fz.se charge me to download demos?
fileplanet exclusive, there's your mafia-methods right there..
