I suggest flashing your xbox, but I'm sure there is a tutorial around here to help you modify the image so it will work on older firmware. |

Well hell I have no idea what any of that means. So - to find a Wave 3 fooling patch thing? I'm guessing there are no super easy "Hey just click on this!" patches for these games.
I suppose I will find out in a minute whether I'm boned or not!

What FW do you have right now? iX 1.4? Cause the ISO's are easily patchable to work with earlier versions. Not without a huge risk of being Live-banned, but still...

Why do we get these questions in every thread there is, just update your firmware and play the game, how hard can it really be, you can even use jungleflasher in windows now, if youre drive is already flashed it takes seriously 2mins.

Game is fucking brilliant.
Combat initially felt weird but after 15 min everything felt fluid. The city is huge and gorgeous (just finished the mission where you have to consume an agent for the web of shadows bit). You don't start off gliding but after the second mission you can purchase it from the evolution menu. The game overall is a blast. Nothing like picking up some dude who told me to fuck off and then hauling his ass up a building and then throwing it as far as the eye can see. The story is kind of hammy thus far (i think the girlfriend might be important) but the combat is awesome.

how does this compare to inFamous? I'm currently stil playing that one and was considering getting this one for my xbox afterwards, but i'm afraid to be very disapointed by Prototype. (saw some videos and i had mixed feelings about this one)

I can only agree to this. This is the GOTY for me.
Fucking awesome...running around...changing costumes...grabbing someone...running up the houses very fast...throwing people 500 meters ... running up the houses with cars etc. Its so much fun.
Infamous demo was slow and boring compared to this for me... gameplay is soo fast and so much fun.
Im very happy that I did not buy infamous!

I was talking about the blonde girl. Played a bit more of this game until you rescue his ex. Christ, this game is awesome... but I am going to miss the normal NYC look as the game progresses. The zombified NYC looks pretty stupid, but the riot areas are awesome... so much going on the screen at once.

Nah man, goty so far is def Demon's Soul's, this is good but it ain't no Demon's Souls.
DS is so far beyond the regular game development structure as in ORDERS of magnitude above.

I think comparing Prototype with Demon Souls is not a good comparison because the genre differs.

How can you call something Game of The Year that you haven't even played yet?, it's as idiotic as saying Doom 5 will be the best game of all time.
So what you can see in the future and know all titles being made not even thought of yet?. |

just finished this,have to say i love it,constant damage to anyone in sight,love the spikes from underground and cutting right through ppl,8 out of 10 for me,pretty easy to complete,as for being nuked to scene rules thats just stupid,the game works and is retail so invalid rar sizes is not important it still works

It's actually a bit sad that people seem to rush to complete games just because they didn't pay any money for it. I've noticed the same thing with every free roaming game on this forum.
So yeah, it's nice to get initial impressions, but if you expect anything deeper it's best to read a professional review. |
I'm maybe halfway through with InFamous on my first playthrough. I refuse to just beat all the main quests because when the game is done, its hard for me to play a 2nd time. People complain that games are too short, but I think they just rush through them and blame the developers. |
