yap ken block is so great he won the wrc like 10 times .. oh wait ..
i bet theres atleast a thousand japanese drifters who could do the same thing.
people assume its uber hard because they dont realise drift cars are set up so they do drift they dont just grab a road going car and some how magical skills make it drift
So, out of those supposedly "thousands" of drifters, why aren't there atelast ONE or TWO videos like this? And believe me, i know that there are countless of drifters that are extremely skilled at what they do, but that doesn't mean they can do this with a 4WD car.
Oh, and no, he hasn't won the WRC. Do you know when he started rallying? A little over three years ago.
And if you're implying that it's almost easy just because the cars are "set up" to drift, then sure, why not hop to it and show the world how easy it is.
No, it IS hard and it takes skill and practice.

the only thing i'm implying that he probably did those stunts more than 10 times and the finished product isnt 1 take , i'm more than sure of it , but not that he dosnt have skill or anything , but if he'd be THAT good he would have won some important shit by now.
i bet he knew the track inside-out , not like other wrc drivers who do and avarage of over 150 kph on extremly narrow and busted roads , with possible hazzards all over .
one thing is to be a show-off , the other to be a skilled driver .
Ofcourse he did retakes, im sure even McRae would need to try several times, because it's not about driving fast here. If McRae would have driven that track with the purpouse to set the fastest time, then sure, not many, if anyone, would have beaten him.
But the point still is, that it takes great skills to even control a car like that, let alone do it with somewhat precision. And the American Subaru Rally team would never have put him as a driver in their team if he actually was bad at rallying. Wich he isn't, but remember, he just started out, give him some time.

ah yes , american rally championship , it's like a myth , american rally ? i mean seriously , you even consider it serious , it coming from fuckin NASCARland .
to be fair , if you'd put a pilot to glide through today's streets , with traffic and all , out of all type of drivers (F1 , Nascar , Monster Truck ) etc ) , rally drivers would probably get the best times , i think it's harder to control a 300 hp car travelin at 200kph sometimes on ruff terrain than a 800 bhp high tech car on a track.
