expect from a 3-4 years old console?

I will say, despite the stupid AI, it actually is a good game, for me it's definitely worth buying, the biggest complaint i have is actually the controls, they are a bit hard on the default setup.

It's beyond me why people like this game. Storyline seems common, controls and camera are shitty, gameplay - meh and i don't need to talk about the graphics. + the city seems lifeless with all those robot-like pedestrians and the ugly buildings. It feels like just one of those Spiderman games

I guess all the 360 fanboys hyped the game because they needed a contender for PS3's Infamous

same for me: I'd love to play this game with my playstation-pad (attached via usb), yet in the game it's stuck on "keyboard + mouse".
couldn't find a config-file or anything of that sort neither, so I have no idea how to change anything about it

You should be able to change your default controller by clicking "keyboard + mouse" in the options menu. The game should see what other controllers are plugged into your computer, though, it may be limited to a certain group of supported devices. I am currently using a Logitech Rumble Pad 2 to play.

ruud28 yes, the volume is too low, nothing to do about this.
And sound issues were fixed by using 24-bit, 48000Hz instead of 24-bit, 96000Hz.

Installation & Configuration - Windows 7 (x64)

Note: May also work for x86

SoundFix: (if sound is speeded and sounds like shit)
· Right click your Volume Control in the systray and choose "Playback devices".
· Select your standard Playback Device and hit "Properties".
· Move on to the tab Advanced and make sure the settings are:
24 bit, 44100 Hz (Studio Quality)

InstallationFix #1: (if 1628: failed to complete installation)
· Click start, type gpedit.msc
· Computer Config > Win Settings > Security Settings > Software Restriction Policies
· Double-click the "Enforcement" to the right-hand side.
· "Apply software restriction policies to the following...":
All users except local administrators. > Done.

InstallationFix #2: (prevent MSI-based installers to stop working properly)
· Start > cmd (run as admin)
· Copy&Paste: reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions /va /f

Is it just me or do the controls kinda suck? It could be that I don't know them (since I can't remap them) but it seems that all I do is run straight towards an enemy, then hit an attack button, then next thing you know, I'm running pentagrams around them swinging at the air.

Is there a "lock-on" button? I know E picks things up.....

Tab is the target selecting, but no target lock so far.

Anyway - I kept myself away from all the hype and I wasnt dissappointed nor excited.
The movement system is a lot like Spiderman: WoS (havent played others). Quite funny to see someone run so fucking fast he has to literally slide to stop. Even on walls.

The fighting is exaclty like Spiderman - bash buttons and watch Merc swirl through the air without control. It was especially annoying in the first army base with Hunters.

And the dam graphics. Fuck off goodamn console-first developers. You should be fucking tied on a chair and forced to play all the console-first PC games until your eyes bleed and pop out.

Other than that - I like the memory puzzle and the absorbing of others. But wtf? Only 1 disguise at once? Its good for timekilling.

I really, dont know, this game seems so repetitive and dull after WoS. I just dont know Sad
I really want it to be better.

thanks for the response, it won't let me change the default controller the way you described.
That confirms my assumption that only the controllers listed in the readme under "The following controllers were used during the testing process of this game" are currently supported (and automatically detected upon start):
Logitech® Dual Action™ *
Logitech® RumblePad™ 2 *
Logitech® Cordless Rumblepad™ 2 *
Logitech® Windchill™
Xbox 360™ Wired controller

just to be sure I tried my roomates Logitech Dual Action pad and it gets recognized by the game just fine. the left analog stick is broken though, so it's not an option for me.
I hope the developer adds support for other (non-listed) devices in upcoming patches.

Dunno yet. I get my PS3 today in the mail. Bought Infamous yesterday for it.
Will have to compare them for myself I guess seeing how I own both systems and both games.
