Overclocking GPU won't magically give you 100 fps, usually there's 5-10% performance increase. So if you have 30 fps now overclocking GPU will give you 31 or 32 fps.

Ive done overclocking before and that gave me 4-5 frames more. But i did a new Windows install so i had to start over again.

For the sound stuff a possible solution was posted on the previous page, related to lowering audio quality (It's not really noticeable though.) back to 48 or even 44 hertz (Or what the unit is called.) if you had previously increased it to for example 96 hertz. (Can still be 24 bit instead of 16 bit from how I understood it.)

Kinda similar to the sound problem in CoD 5 but there you couldn't increase above 48 or the game would crash. (Before one of the patches worked it out.)

The FPS says 14-16 but in the game it not feels like 14 FPS like more...

Try unplugging your usb keyboard if you have one.Revert to 182.08.There's a conflict issue for sure.Check your task manager and resources when running the game and come back with
feedback.

Got the exact same problem...

Intel E6750 Dual-Core 2,66GHz
4096Mb RAM
GeForce 9600GT 512Mb
Windows 7 x64 RC1

3 FPS on 640 x 480 everything off or low...

Drivers are the latest 185.85

Tested it more, got the same on everyrhing high.....

1680 x 1050 4xAA Vsync on High High

Yes same FPS on everything low medium and high... from 800x600 - 1680 x 1050 allways on 14-16 FPS

=/

I wonder if it could be because of your AV. Kaspersky crippled wheelman until i added it to the exceptions list.

Also, have you looked on the official forums for the game?

OK I just got done fucking around with the sound to fix the low volume issue, turns out the game is stuck in surround sound mode and theres no way to change it (awesome job there devs). I slowly changed my speaker config setting from stereo, quadraphonic, 5.1, and last 7.1 surround sound. The sound in game got louder each time, 7.1 being the clearest.

There you have it, change your sound options to 5.1 or 7.1 surround and you'll actually be able to hear everything clearly. I'm using stereo headphones and everything sounds fine now.

Hmm is does help a bit, but now you hear 7.1 trough my 2.1 system. So its louder but now i cant hear sounds that i did hear before.

It's this or barely being able to hear the dialog, or wait and hope for a patch.

I kinda like sandbox games.

Apart from dumb AI and pretty much watered down graphics it's pretty good fast paced fun.

I have to say the game delivers what was promised. It's in no way ground breaking but entertaining for sure. I think the way the story is delivered is pretty cheesy and in some areas the game lacks polish but it gets the job done.

What an awesome game.
No problems what so ever, runs uber smooth all maxed out on 1680x1050, sound is just fine.
the intro movie was great!! and the gameplay afterwards insane (and easy to control once configured to my own preferences).

Waited for this game for a while. And it was worth it.

9/10.

i thought mercs2 was a dumb piece of stupidly boring shit. if this is worse, it must be the worst game ever.

Have to say I agree with you. Atleast I finished Mercs 2, and played it a bit after I finished it. This, I can't even bring myself to finish.
