Plants Vs. Zombies

It has been recommended a few times in this thread but i looked at some gameplay vid and i'm not interested. I'm looking more toward something adventure oriented.

There's a lot of good adventure games out there that will run well on almost any machine... just to name a few:

The black Mirror
Secret Files Tunguska
Ni-Bi-Ru
Scratches
Runaway 1 & 2
A Vampyre Story
...and of course SCUMMVM with all the classic Stuff

Outside the adventure genre I quite enjoy trackmania united, there's a shitload of content and with online play it nver gets old. It runs fine on almost any machine, very low specs.

UT2004 also runs well on old machines, and it's always fun as hell in multi, but consider it only if you have wi-fi access or something where you work, because offline it's very limited.

The problem here is that you think like a hardcore player. This game isen't intended for guys who have played fps for the last 10 years. It's more intended for the casual player. The hint that you can run this game on old pc's was from the start a hint that they where aiming at the casual player.

The problem here is that you don't have a clue. I haven't been a hard core player in a long time. A hardcore player isn't someone who plays games for a long time, its a player who plays a specific game for a long time and gets really good at it and becomes one of elite players of the game. Someone can be a casual player for 20 years.
I haven't played a game to a hardcore level in years. The problem is that EA is so utterly out of touch they have no idea what they're doing.

Everything in Korea runs on microtransactions, they have major business interests in Korean companies and yet choose to ignore all of that information on how to make a game. Not just gameplay, UI, pre-game, post-game, etc. They bare a vague resemblance on the surface, but underneath they're so far apart. They've decided to reinvent the wheel and put the CEOs retarded son in charge of function.

The Sims 3 and/or Football Manager. Both great for passing time.

I'd say either Hearts of Iron 2 + mods or wait for Hearts of iron 3 coming out in August or something. Great game if u want to pass time, works on the laptop just fine, and a great simulation of ww2.
