Can someone help me on Gameplay?

I am on Dust (2nd area) and I get asked to defend a housing block from teh badies! Now, I've found the highly powerful guns on the balconies, however the enemy just keeps coming and coming. Even with this high powered gun, it never ends! They just end up swarming the area... any tips?

IIRC you have to get the enemy forces to 0 fast or otherwise they just keep coming and coming.
When there are only few left, then I suggest you search for them fast before more arrives. Smile

What's the powerful gun you found?

I'd suggest using arc welder if there's a lot of em in a small area(loved that weapon)
Also if there are mounted guns(vehicles or otherwise),then using them helps too. Smile

I keep dying over and over again from the infantry and I find that my weapons arsenal is pretty much worthless when it comes to countering infantry. All these cool rocket launchers, sticky bombs, and other weapons and they all suck against infantry... I yet to buy that arc welder gun, is it any good against infantry? This game is so annoying and yet so awesome.

Unless you're playing on hard I don't see how you could be having difficulty, the assault rifle is perfectly adequate for dealing with most infantry threats, just aim for the head. The sticky bombs are also useful, just make sure you detonate them almost as soon as they hit the ground.

Getting those headshots is the problem Sad . I don't play shooters on the console alot, so my aiming is not optimal (probably not even close to it). This results in instant death when I'm being swarmed.
The ammo in this game is severely limited imo. I constantly run back and forth between missions and the base.

That's why you have those ammo crates in almost every major location, they're red with a red faction symbol on the front. Also remember you can upgrade the ammo count of almost every weapon. Considering almost every trooper has an assault rifle, I don't see how you could run out of ammo though.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, I'm mostly dying when trying to take down a few very heavily guarded high profile buildings. When doing missions I died only 2 times.

Well it seems like the difficulty is just right then. I assume you're still near the beginning if you haven't bought the arc welder yet? So you can't expect to be taking out high profile buildings with ease.

Run and gun is the only way I really achieved high importance targets , Or in EOS i kinda cheated and went above it and bombared it with charges from above , Jetpack lets you get a stealthy approach Very Happy

If you can get a tank or even a an armored car use it to get in , Won't last long but gets the hard part out of the way . also MOABS are great for high Value buildings, Just don't use the nano gun to destroy the vehicle . Strap some charges to it and GTFO

Also I fucking loved doing the bridge in badlands , a few shots with the nano gun and it was down without them even knowing about , Alert status went yellow when it became critical and fell Twisted Evil

Fuel-air rocket is all you need to take down any building. One or two shots and it's down.

And bringing really big guns.

Anyone else really disappointed that there is no cheat to rebuild everything? Or give you a reconstructor, that would be pretty great.

I completed it without the arc welder too, will load up an earlier save and give it a go. You just have to keep moving, and know when to pull back to get a bearing on things.

I think it's important that you remember that you're a guerilla.
The enemy has way too many soldiers to fight them head on, so you just have to hit and run.
For missions where you destroy something, do it as quickly and suddenly as possible and get the hell out of there before all the reinforcements arrive.

I found that using trucks and driving right into the building you have to destroy works pretty well for that Smile

The missions where you have to defend stuff; so where you can't run away; usually give you enough allies so that you're not getting shot at at all times which allows you to fight more.

The enemies in those defense missions also often get very close to each other while attacking stationary guerilla friends which is perfect for throwing in some explosives.
It also works well to wait for their vehicles and attack the vehicles directly while the enemy is getting out.
