Actually I've heard comments about the bad graphics in console reviews as well.
I expected more from console "snobs."

BTW, what happens if one of them accidentally dies? Does another one pop up? I clicked LMB instead of RMB, and it threw him instead of consuming.

Animal Mother I never said gameplay should suffer as a result did I?. Theres absolutely tons of games with dodgy graphics but an abundance of gameplay. Wasn't even a criticism at this game in fact just in general.
Perhaps you never gamed on the PC much?, if you had you would know that certain sections of PC gamers are a demanding bunch... thats why there are new graphic cards released every six months... and hardcore gamers prepared to fork out a few hundred quid just for a piece of silicon chip.
I'm not saying every game has to look spectacular but there has to be evolution somewhere down the line, but the worrying trend is that developers just don't focus on the PC so much anymore. It's got nothing to do about being a PC snob whatever the fuck that means anyway, just that there would be no point in new technology coming out all the time on the PC if theres going to be nothing to take advantage of it. Comprendre?

Quickly abduct a commander, shapeshift, jump on a choper, neutralize other chopers, end alarm, quickly go and enter the base. I do it all and have at least a minute left. The only tricky part is to slip far enough of the detectors, but its not that hard.
If you tried to consume the commander while he is walking around, youd get caught by sensors 90% of the time.

Haha, that's the basis for the whole PC gaming hardware market. New technology comes out which gives a negligible performance increase and then fools with money to burn fall for the marking propaganda which convinces them they need it.
That's why games like Crysis which are mediocre gameplay wise are sponsored (effectively subsidised) by video card manufactures and the same idiots as before believe it's not only the best game ever but also the savior of PC gaming.
Are you one of those?

on hard: glide in, snatch commander, escape while consuming, change to alex while escaping, change to commander when out of sight, glide back in, enter the base, simple
make sure when u glide in from the high spot u land very close to your objective, that will minimize your detection

Also use the whip power grab, which has quite a long range, to snatch them from a distance thus shaving off a couple of seconds.

I kinda prefer how the game looked earlier, this new look isn't bad or anything such (In terms of visual power they're rather similar.) but it's a bit dark or how to describe it.

(Might have to do with the character models and look of the game world, those mutation powers for example were a bit more visual or how to say it.)

finished the game..in 3 friggin days (with stops eh )...could b better..you normally stick to one power and whenever you need another one u just buy it and use the new one for a bit, then back to the old one..
Also there are these moments when the hunters (muscled small monsters) runs so fast to you and hits you many times you cant escape mostly...they act like "NO MOTHERFUCKING WAY YOU'RE GOING TO ATTACK US FUCKEEEEEEEEEER"......eeeerr...yeah..."no way you're gonna attack us" rampage mode
Story was interesting if it wasnt for the memory recovering objectives...but it was fun..runnin around the buildings ..it had some flying bugs too (not the helicopters) and some missions were annoying (specially the last one)
Spoiler: | Last one was about fighting a captain becomin a monster double ya size..what a friggin coincidence,eh?..fun fact is that you fight on a plane holding ship (or whatever its called) and if you dared to pilot a helicopter all the ship's turrets would shoot u like "NO CHEATING!"..why?,no matter if you're capturing when the heli's clooose to the ship,in a sec you're meters away from it ...
Even if you smash the turrets away before grabbin an heli, whenever you pilot it (meters away again) the boss, obviously, will throw "rocks" (Rocks!,not the ship's metal! ) at you,not one but 3 at once!.. and he'll have a perfect aim..like whenever you dodge em they'll follow you..BITCH!!!!,CHEATING BITCH!!
Anyways,Alex Mercer cant recover his normal way of life and NY is infected, but he's out to another island..thou whenever u skip the credits you're back on NY!! D...bastards!!!! |

Well the thing with Alex Mercer is that...
Spoiler: | ...he is dead, there is only prototype now. He first thought he was Alex Mercer because that is the first one he 'consumed', so he could think that of himslef, but once he consumed all those ppl, he became something more.. |

Hm it's interesting, that old style reminds me a lot of I Am Legend. Graphics also look a bit better (the lighting particularly), but I guess they couldn't get it playable with these settings.

thanks:)
and good thing is that the controlls easy..thats what the game about..simple and fun
i use to go fast and do missions and thats what i did till it become too hard and i realized that i have powers lol..so it works like: bigger enemy waves coming and player getting new powers and abilities as you go farther into the game so you always should have good answer..thats what keep's me in

I did find the game to be quite good, despite the flawed reviews some people posted here based on their earlier experience.
The graphics might not be exceptional, but face it.. you do not see much of the graphics anyway, as you are zipping through the city, jumping, flying, evading rockets.. sometimes i cant see sh*t from all the smoke anyway. The odd moments when you stop running around, the game really looks somewhat dated, but the gameplay compensates for that greatly.
In fact, the only grief i have related to visuals is the fact that there is not enough variation in characters you run into. Considering you are playing in a crowded area and people are running around in massive numbers, its really a bit (just a tiny bit) disappointing when you have to feed on the same guy three times in a row, as there are only some 10-20 different texture versions running around the city.
I guess they had to make some comprimises in texture usage considering the amoount of people you are running into.
The pacing of the game i did find excellent.. The biggest boss fight was insanely long, (it took me 2!!! yes, two damn hours to beat that single boss) but it also was intense and never for a moment got boring.
All in one, this is a good and fun game. Story is also nice.. not the best i've seen, but decent enough to make it worth playing through the game at least ocne.
I approve of this game.
