Can't help with the unpacking, but I installed the benchmark to my Games drive (F), so I don't quite get why it's not letting you change it. :/

SCORE: 6231
AVERAGE: 57.63FPS
OS: Windows XP Professional
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80GHz
Memory: 2046MB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Display Setting: 1680x1050 60Hz 8xAA
Texture Filter 4x
Alll settings on High/Highest, with VSync off, and Ink Filter on
Weirdly, it reports the base speed of my CPU, not the OC speed, so that should actually be "4300 @ 2.40Ghz".

It's installshield and it often unpacks stuff to your designated temporary folder in this case it's a compressed setup file that'll unpack a MSI file which is the actual installer for the software, if you have the space you can run it and then copy over the MSI file and afterwards you just terminate the setup and run the MSI directly.
(Though if you had the disc space and were going to install to another drive the temporary files wouldn't be a problem and they're deleted after the installer exits.)

Wasn't aware there was a single core bug? |
for what i understand yes..
i was having the same problem with bionic commando re armed, and dead space
I reported it this problem on
http://www.capcom-unity.com/street_fighter/go/thread/view/7411/13015695/The_PC_SFIV_Thread?sdb=1&pg=last#298337659
dont know if it is the proper place anyway the should fixed it out.
More details:
800x600 sinc off shadows "single"
Should run fine, with out "slow down"

You get the same effect in DMC4, at low framerates the game doesn't get choppy like you see in most games but just slows down. |

this game is greatly optimized, 60fps+ constant here with 8800GT + C2D 2.4GHz in 1280x1024 fully maxed + CSAA 8x, which is surprising for a X360 port !

Yeah, 60 FPS with that rig on a 2D beat 'em up is really something to admire. [/sarcasm]
TBH, all recent rigs should pull more than 100 on this, I mean come on, it's A 2D FIGHTING GAME FFS.
Sure, models are 3D, but there are just 2 on the screen!

@sew22:
If you don't understand this simple result screen, then do the following:
Take all the CDs that came with your computer in a box.
Pull all the cables of your computer and put each part in seperated boxes.
Put those boxes into your car, drive to the computershop where you bought your computer and tell them "Sorry, I am to dumb for a computer. May I have a playstation please?"
If you just wanted to brag then -> gtfo
"oh hai, I have 344159234 frames per second, is that OK???"
