Why didn't you use RLD crack on VTL rz ?

Because I thought it was the game itself that was harder then hell. So I just deleted everything relating to it.

I can confirm - I had played the game using the original RLD crack. Then, I started a new game after installing the VTY release.Everything was MUCH more difficult, with the wall scones = instant rape. AI went down much faster and more often as well.

It really would seem as if there was an uncracked difficulty trigger.

I stutter like hell (in cutscenes too) but I dont have a GTX... nor a very good system but still... I stutter more in this than in crysis lol

Intel Core2Duo 4300 @1.80GHz
GeForce 8800GTS (320mb or whatever)
4GB DDR2 Ram
Windows Vista SP1 32bit
Really really bad harddrive

At first, I figured its because I had TweetDeck running on my other monitor while I was in game, then I saw all these posts about the stuttering. I'm going to try the 60hz Refresh Rate thing (My game defaulted to 30hz so I turned that off >.> )

Also, everytime I get a big hiccup, I lose the background music. Its a small issue but its sad. I'd love to hear the music too lol

in simple words :
Reloaded Steam Rip works fine and you can finish it , they exe was not protected to begin with (it was taken from the digital download STEAM version)... no triggers in it, only a simple steam check...

Vitality yeah its the retail protected exe from DVD but they fucked again and they exe triggers a trigger that slowly turns every enemy on the screen immortal , making this game HARD AS HELL... and impossible to finish

RLD wins again

Why don't you just keep the VTY ISO, and go get RLD's crack?

About the stuttering/sudden frame drops..

I have a GTX 260 as well, and I installed the game on windows xp sp3. Whenever I play it on XP, I get the annoying chugs and drops in framerate. However, when I play it on my Windows 7 boot, the stuttering is gone!

I don't know how this is really possible. My Windows XP install is pretty fresh and works well with other games. Quite possibly something in the registry has gone hay-wire. I've also tried several different drivers on XP to no avail.

Anyways, a decent game so far. Fun, if not a little cliche.

Nope, no stutters here, only a few fps drops (never below 30fps so it's ok).

Edit: I lost track a bit of this game. People with the same rig as me, are playing this game very good and smooth and im playing it with huge framedrops everytime.
Do you get better result installing it the easy way? so no custom install. Does it run better if you try the revloader methos? I really dunno it anymore...

No I installed it custom, then changed all Atari entries for the game in registry entries to my custom choice install location. Then re-installed with no problems..

Reloaded release crack..

E6600@3.4ghz
Ocz gold ram slightly underclocked @798mhz (standard is 800)
XfX Ati 4870 1gb card with official 9.6 cats. Application specific settings set. And Cat AI on full.

All I done to make it stop the slight stutters as I said in other post was enable 60hz frame lock in the games option menu.
\

Oke thanks for you answer. So is tis your second time install? I want to know if your method makes diffrence of the performance.

Other question. Could you maybe say what exact register you changed. I only found two if i search at Atari i get only 2 results and changed that one. So in installed aginEasy install, but then it only copies the video -.-

Pictures would be nice Very Happy

From the Reloaded Nfo: Install the game but note that the setup is bugged. The Easy setup works fine but if you choose Custom it might break. If that is the case you should be able to fix it by copying the missing files located in the setup bin subdirectory to your installation dir.

I also have these performance breakdowns, most extreme is when I return to the Hotel lobby and it drops from 60 to 15fps. Its especially bad when its dark, the flashlights are turned on and more than 2 other Ghostbusters are roaming the area. But I thought these are because my RAM (2gb) and CPU (E6600) don't meet the recommended system requirements. Playing on XP sp3 on a GTX 275 OC, going to try out Win7 now.

No difference on Win7 for me. I'm now at the central park stage and at the beginning when I turn around to the front gate I got 12 fps. Then I restarted and suddenly got 30 fps. On Win7 I had 22fps there. Same at the museum, yesterday I had 19fps in the dark section today I got 50. I mean WTF??! I get totally different framerates at the same sections, its so random. And the longer I play the worse it seems to get. I think thats because of the RAM. But anyways, worst optimization ever, its like Splinter Cell Double Agent.
