Yes, there is no fucking Anisotropic filtering on WinXP, all is blurred. And no its not the drivers,I double checked everything. Anyone else noticed this or am I the only one having problems again?

Yeah, soon I'll change to Win7 permanently. Now I set AF to 16x instead of 8x in the control panel on XP and suddenly its looking fine. It was always on 8x in Win7.

Okay heres how i've overcome the majority of the problems:

1] Mouse - I'm using a 360pad

2] FPS Dips - try turning on the 60hz refresh lock on ingame options / turn off physx in nvidia control panel

3] dialogue out of sync - I had this other sound driver in my sound options (some bluetooth thingie) switched it to that and the dialogue is better (i think it might be a tinsy bit out, but i can manage)

4] lack of AA ..force it on in your graphics control panel and rename the .exe to ut3

I stutter like hell (in cutscenes too) but I dont have a GTX... nor a very good system but still... I stutter more in this than in crysis lol

Intel Core2Duo 4300 @1.80GHz
GeForce 8800GTS (320mb or whatever)
4GB DDR2 Ram
Windows Vista SP1 32bit
Really really bad harddrive

At first, I figured its because I had TweetDeck running on my other monitor while I was in game, then I saw all these posts about the stuttering. I'm going to try the 60hz Refresh Rate thing (My game defaulted to 30hz so I turned that off >.> )

Also, everytime I get a big hiccup, I lose the background music. Its a small issue but its sad. I'd love to hear the music too lol

hi update your gfx card drivers i did also and now all is smooth nvidia xfx 8800 working great and fast now. just that its well difficult like helll this one with the wall candels they keep comming grrr i have to kill them one by one to get passed them but than bam another bunch come and my caracter is dead

Getting some stuttering with Ati, rather annoying.

Maybe the best movie-based game, really nails it.

Seems it's one of those sloppy ports, poor optimization (stutters on the dumbest non-demanding locations for no fucking reason) and poorly implemented mouse&keyboard.

Them candle things are pissing me off, i even started again and changed the difficulty to casual but they still kill me. The game is unplayable at the moment, occassional stuttering, game is too hard and thats with just the crappy candle things, and the mouse movement is fucked up, if you look at a wall and move the mouse, the movement is fine but if you look over a far distance it goes fucked up. Evil or Very Mad

theres a way to force AA in this game
go to appdata\local\ghostbusters and in settings.ini find
Code:
antiAliasMultipleX=1
antiAliasMultipleY=1

and change 1s to 2 so it looks like
Code:
antiAliasMultipleX=2
antiAliasMultipleY=2

game looks so much nicer with it on
it looks more like the cutscenes.

on 4850 512MB stock clocks change in performance with AA on is minimal.[/

I encountered no stutters and at 1920x1200 had smooth performance at all times.

Can't vouch for the mouse/keyboard issue as I use a 360 pad, which worked perfectly.
