"Entitled Superstars V8 Racing Next Challenge, the new title aims to improve its mediocre predecessor with new cars, tracks and a new online mode. Furthermore, the developers have acquired help from former Formula One driver and Superstars Championship winner Gianni Morbidelli. The first previews have already shown some improvements, including the often-missed cockpit view and quite impressive-looking rain effects.
Superstars V8 Next Challenge will be coming to the PC and next-gen gaming consoles in February 2010."

Superstars V8 Racing - PC
Get back to 4 wheels and test your skills with V8 engines for the next racing challenge!
Superstars V8 Racing is based on the license of the car racing Italian Championship that Black Bean Games has signed off with Superstars International Development. Powered by some of the most important car manufacturers in the whole world, such as BMW, Audi and Jaguar, and sporting top class production cars it delivers a breathtaking driving experience.
Superstars V8 Racing offers the utmost realistic impression of the Championship. From car design to technical engine features, from the setting of the races to the turns of the tracks, everything has been designed in great detail.
Every single car behaves in a complete different way accordingly to its real technical features and the settings tuned by each team competing for the title in order to get the best performance out of the powerful engine.
Game play mode variety is enriched by each own cars’ peculiarity and it can be appreciated for the pick up ‘n play game mechanics, thought for the casual gamers, as well as for the top notch quality of the most experienced ones.
It's not that terrible for such a small, low budget, unknown game. Yes it's arcadey by default but there are some realism options. Will keep me busy for a day or two.

I agree with you, but from the guys behind SBK09 I would have been expected much more simulation stuff
Hmm, after checking, it seems Milestone is the same company behind SBK08 and SBK09 Well, it is safe to say, within that year they improved the game tremendously SBK08 was complete shit, while SBK09 is good.
Anyway the more I play this game the more I dislike it , there are lot of issues and bad choices (like the enormous drifting factor, bad cars damage, no cockpit view etc...).
Milestone should definitely return to the SBK2010 developement as soon as possible

i cant even configure my gamepad the way i want it hate games like that
You have to switch to "stereo" in the Game-Menü at the start. If you switch to "Surround" or 5.1 you will get those sound-errors
But with stereo all is okay
Technically Superstars Racing V8 takes advantage of the latest Milestone engine, which was used for SBK09 too.
The fact that SBK09's physics are much more advanced than V8's ones is due to a choice made by the devs in order to have more appeal to casual gamers.

Graphically talking looks much better than the previous game. Lightning, shadows and overall details are definitely one step forward from the previous game in terms of realism fidelity.
The driving model is a big question mark though, since we'll probably have the usual simularcade driving model which is miles away from GTR's physics simulation.
max 4:3 resolution 1152x864 with black bars, no clutch, no shifter, brake pedal not detected, force feedback isnt reversed for logitech wheels, crappy cockpit view, inexistent physics due to non-reversed ffb OMG
