Even if expert, and I don't doubt his expertise, his inside baseball "muh poor industry is in shambles" excuse really does make me give a fuck. My objective experience is far worse with that angina than any other, and given that nobody put a gun to the heads of poor "muh inexperienced developers" after years of complains with Angina 5, it's their damn fault.

Back in the 'old days' gaming was a smaller industry where only passionate, talented and skilled people could work.
Nowadays the industry has become gargantuan. There simply are NOT ENOUGH capable people to be hired, as they are spread... thin and everywhere.
Also the industry is plagued with shite / mediocre workers and MANAGERS(!) hired based primarily on: "who they know", the color of their skin or hair, soft skills (aka their 'passion for rainbow teamwork'), instead of hard, clean, strong skills needed for gaming.
Gaming is an art. Just like music, painting, sculpting etc.
Few people can truly create, compose, sing, paint, create 'art'. They can try to fake it (and succeed in the non-cultured circles), but they can't truly make it.
Sooner or later you can smell the shite...
