Crack taken from Activemedia protection, not Starforce.

Anyway: game = 1, Starforce = 10. Score = 5

Anyone confirm / deny this?

I believe he knows more than me and knows some details of Starforce. Yes, I think he is able to rate Activemedia suggestion by rap3r.

the demo was activemedia, the game starforce, if u look at the crack files u notice that they are 100% not taken from the demo, theres the big data file cracked which was sf3 encrypted

pretty sure there are not big holes in starforce now, is just a matter of pcodes... when a game has no or little pcodes cracking has never been a problem, at least is not now. when a game has a lot of pcodes is much harder and longer to deal with starforce. area 51 had 5 pcodes i think, chaos theory has 90 if i remember correctly

It's not true... The game was 100% StarForce... and RLD did a very good job removing it... Wink

SCCT has 21 in latest patch not 90 Smile
and i dont need to comment the vote from ppl that cant debug.

Area 51 has no pcode. I took closer look as sage386 wrote its not. I got only 2 memory dumps where 5 jmps into vm werent identical in the dumps thatswhy i wrote 5 pcodes in other thread. its not true. i got clonecd myself and game is simple pcodeless sf3 with the 3.4.7x VM and a dat file for dataprotection but filemon tells you where and which files are missed so the datadump was "easy" too for rld skills.

well i guess them mainly

you do 2 or more dumps of one protected file while bpr the game after OEP and compare them ... then you check the differs how they are related. if they are related to jumps or calls into the VM and you can calculate the vm protected opcodes of the game. thats all "secret". if you can disasm a dump and trace code and understand what it does its not difficult. I guess every asm coder/cracker can calculate them easy no matter if he can crack it or not as cracking is something else then calculating the number
cracking = decompile the VM and search the shit you need Smile
