I need this phrase -> Light in The Darkness <- translated into Latin. Its for a tatoo i wanna get Smile

I cant find a Latin translator on the internet so if anyone can help me with this, please do, itd make my day Very Happy

And by Latin I mean ACTUAL Latin - not spanish, brazilian, portuguese etc
Or even Old English (from like medieval times) would be good. Both would be wicked Smile

The grammar of latin is extremely complex, because the language is higly inflected, i.e words are modified based on intent or relational aspects.

What this means is that an automated latin translator would be almost useless, unless it could in some way identify the words to be translated, and then you could select the proper context.

My latin is very basic, but I think 'in' is spelt the same way in latin, and as for 'the', i'm not even sure it is used in the same sense.

Post tenebras lux = After darkness, light .. only similar phrase I found

the link has a break down of each word within "Light in The Darkness"

so you can take your pick, depending on what you want it to mean ..

btw : why would you want to brand yourself like cattle ?

Thanks man, dunno if it will help tho lol

Brand myself? already branded my friend Smile i have a few tats already, I have a crow with its wings spread open infront of a red sun on my back/shoulder blades (awesome and i got it for free Very Happy ), I have a spider on my neck, both forearms have commando daggers on them - on my left arm, the dagger is going through a blue heart (recent addition), I have a thorn bush on my right calf/lower leg/feet, I have my name with sensei infront of it and dan (degree) written on my right keg (upper leg) in japanese (for shotokan Smile ) along with the shotokan tiger under it and finally I have a wolf howling into the abyss with the Goddess standing beside him petting him, draped in a black robe with golden hair (3 fuckin grand for that tatoo and I got a deal lol - lots of colour and detail) on my chest (left side). Oh, and I have the hapkido symbol on my left shoulder.

Thats why I want the translation. Gunna get a Pentagram that incorporates the 4 elements of life in it with Light in the Darkness written on the inside of the pentagram's ring on the right side of my chest.

I need something for my right shoulder tho...I dunno what yet. Confused
Im also thinking of something for my stomach...I dont want any kinda writing, its been done...Im thinking something that signifies beginning and energy or something. Since the chi comes from the stomach (well, that area) and all. I dunno what yet...need to find some more pictures of how chi is represented and symbols and shit.

@rockma - where am i gunna find a latin professor? and why would he want to translate something for someone who looks like me and for my reason Smile

hmmm...a raven on my stomach eh? like the crow on my back? hmmm, perhaps a raven with its wings spread in front of waning moon....awww fuck, i think i may have my next tatoo (after the one on my chest) Very Happy But it'll cost me enuff money...i have this picture in my head right this moment of how I would want it to look and there's nuff detail lol

thanks for the idea man Smile

As for my collection, Smile fuckin expensive but worth it - every tatoo i have has a reason and a story behind it. Well, the spider on my neck doesnt have any meaning, some guy did it for me in jail, think it was a gang tat but i got transfered before I found out Laughing...

but I love body art - like tatoo's, not that body "modification" shit (I call it body mutilation - which it is). Those ppl that do "scarification" are fucked...I dated a broad who was into that and im telling u, they really need their heads read by a professional.

It's pretty well known.
