Should be one of the better 120Hz displays out there, not that I have used it myself.

I prefer 16:10, maybe just used to that size.
For games I have a 16:9 sure but that's a plasma Tv connected to pc it's not a monitor.

But I won't judge like *ermm* IPS PEOPLE *erm* do /tinfoilhat |
No, some of us prefer IPS because we don't want to sacrifice that much image quality. Then we recommend an IPS monitor and in comes barging the likes of you who dismiss image quality completely. You're the one who keeps going HURRRRR 120 HZ IS SO MUCH BETTER FOR GAEMZ, IT MAEK 30 FPS LOOK SMOOTH BLABLABLABLA.

Pretty much.
I have nothing against 120hz. The problem is that the current panel technology that does 120hz results in laughable image quality, and poor viewing angles.

It's the same shit as 3D, for which 120 Hz is most commonly used. For me, 3D does absolutely *nothing*. Not even in cinemas does it really work on me (no IMAX around here though, only good old crappy 3D).
It's just highly personal, period. What's better for one person, isn't necessarily better for another person. Now until we get to the point where we get quality IPS at high refresh rates (soon™), that's when you can really say it's better, as that'll have the best of both. As it stands, it's less ghosting versus image quality. Input lag is already negligible on any half-decent monitor.

50 participants, 1 game
Edit: oh, it's hardware.info, figures. "We disabled Vsync in this game running on an engine from last century" -> "They noticed less tearing on 120 Hz".
Throw in some RPGs, see if anyone gives a fuck then. Get BF3 and have it run at or below 60 FPS, see if anyone cares. And you need more people to begin with to draw any valid conclusion.
It's a subjective matter based entirely on what you do or don't play.
Anyway, glad you enjoy your monitor, sorry to have derailed the thread. Shouldn't have gone for Stige's bait

Lol, plz no h8 :<
I don't play any FPS games but I still highly prefer 120Hz monitors, only games I really play are WoW (which is pretty fast paced for arenas, only thing I do) and TERA.
