seriously, I am missing something here. How is this any better than NFS Shift. I can't tell a great deal of difference in the handling, in fact the car feels a bit 'floaty' if anything and the Graphics are fugly especially the scenery textures.
at least it doesn't seem slow, like Forza 2 and the framerate looks high.
pass for me I think....

I think he's kinda right. The cars look beautiful in menus but in-game they're full of jaggies,
The damage system isn't that great..heck dirt2 or grid have a better damage system.
and ramming into other cars feels like hitting a truck.
Hoping the full game looks and plays better.

I think he's completely wrong. Cars look great in menus and in game. Scenery looks great, unlike Shift (stop and look at a building in city track and you'll see what i mean).
Bottom line is he's comparing 1 track, possibly early build demo to a full version of Shift.
And regarding damage, this game is not about damage. It's about as little contact as possible, heck, If I hit other cars in games like this I feel ashamed and want to start track over. So damage in Forza3 does its job fine. Or do you want damage like in Shift, where other cars fly in the sky when you hit them?
So yeah, wait for full version, play some of amazing tracks in some of amazing vehicles that Forza3 will have, and then you can judge.

If anyone prefers Shift to FM3, it can't be because of the handling. 'Cause Shift does a piss poor job of "simulating" car racing. It's utterly terrible to be honest.
Forza 3 on the other hand does a fine job in actaully providing you with a somewhat realistic driving experience. And if that's not what you're after and you only want pretty graphics and a "cool" menu, the sure, go play Shift.

only real life like racings games I have played are Richard Burns Rally and rFactor with various mods (I assume that LFS is in the same category, but have not played them)
Forza, Shift, Drift etc. compared to those games are pure arcades...

Only a person who have driven the exact same cars on a track can really know how close it is to real life. And I have a feeling very few games are...

RBR and rFactor are indeed even better representations of real life racing - but Shift shouldn't even be compared to FM3/GT5/RBR/rFactor/whatever.
Forza 2/3 may not be hardcore simulators, but compared to Shift, Grid, Dirt etc, they are pretty goddamn realistic.

if you have driven car with more than 200hp and +- average dynamics, you get very good feeling about whether game is bullshit or not, no matter what car you drive in game

games cant compare to real life, the best sims for pc is r-factor in my opinion , for xbox360 is forza 2 in the futture forza 3 , and ps3 will be gran turismo , , of course i play all my drivin games with steering wheel ,but force feedback give you an ideia of the handling in real life , but still cant feel the g´s..
now some people talk bullshit about nfs , omg , thats an arcade game , even with all the help off, the cars dont feel real. makin a corners totally unreal, but still a fun arcade ride. deelix your car have 110hp , mine have 80hp , still i have more fun playin with him , that drivin in video games

Those calling Forza arcadey with all assists off, I really don't think you people have ever driven a car... yet alone a car near or past its limits... Forza 3 feels much more natural then Forza 2 did and I cannot wait.
I also use the MS Wheel with FFB

Nope, it's great. I'm getting sick of Shift's gimmicky shaky cockpit, it's cool in videos, but after driving 5 laps of Nordschleife it becomes unbearable.

I didn´t think so much of the shakiness as much as how the driver sits completely still and stares straight forward even while driving fast in sharpest turns.
