Hmm, where the fuck is lucky's bounty board? been fast traveling to all the different locations. It might be a bug, but I can't see the bounty board icon on the map any place at "lucky's last hole bla bla"

Yeah level 13 is your problem indeed. I leveled up to 17 by completing all the side quests before taking on Sledge.

Cool, that's what I figured. One thing that is so tough is this......let's say there are 5 sections to a dungeon/Sledge's Safe House. When you complete section 1 and 2 and move on to 3 you are all proud of yourself and find that you may need to go back to section 1 to get health/ammo. Well Borderlands Devs decided to allow respawning on section 1 if you make it to section 3. Uhhhhgggg, that really makes this hard. I understand that they did it to up the difficulty and to allow for leveling up. I don't dislike it at all, I am just saying that this design makes the game that much harder! 3 hours to go before my son goes to bed and I can hit the long road backwards from Sledge's Boss Arena to the beginning of the Arid Badlands. GASP!!! I will level up to 16 or 17 and then come back. It will be interesting to see how much easier it is then.

Wow!! That is a lot of money! What I would give to have 4 million right now. At least they give you the option of fighting to the death!! I love this idea, it has saved me many times!!

there is no "best"one...
sniper: pretty self-explanatory
soldier: most "solid" class, good defense with turret
siren: jack of all trades, hit and run
brick: don't know about the skill tree, but i don't really see much sense in going melee in this game. maybe as a tank in MP to fuck up/distract the enemies while your friends finish them off, but that's it

Siren is totally sick ^^ I went the middle tree 2 tiers in the left one (to get shield boost and hp reg) and will spend my next points in the right one.
With my mods and Artifacts going into Phase is quite sick aoe dmg. Spamming with my 100 dmg smg and a rof of 12 or so i take a normal guy out to get the fire aura, then going into stealth puts all around me burning, shocked and with acid... if they are some lvls under me the dont survive the 2. explosion when i come out of stealth, baddasses drop under 50% and normally they just burn to death.

So I just bought a rocket launcher that does about 700 damage and fires 5 rockets at once. Needless to say, it's quite destructive.

The death cost is a percentage of your total $$$? Lame if so!

it is, but only a small percentage (that increases with your level though). sucks, but then again - money isn't scarce and on my first playthrough nearly no weapon from the store was better than my (looted) equipment

Yeah, the death fee is nothing to worry much about, I'm just kind of a penny pincher in most RPGs.
One thing I'm wondering about.. Marcus always talks about COMs when I open his ammo store. What are they? Does he just mean Class Mods?

Wow....
I gotta wonder what people were expecting with the ending? I realise that it's a common complaint amongst reviewers, so I'm curious what exactly was expected for an ending?
Spoiler: | I pretty much knew the Vault wasn't what everyone expected it to be. But I was still pretty surprised by what transpired. They left a nice opening for an expansion of sequel, I'd love to find out who the Guardian Angel is...maybe an AI in the satellite programed to find the person to prevent whatever is in the Vault from getting out.
I suppose the raises the question, if it can only be opened every 200 years, why bother having a system in place to prevent anything at all? Obviously someone created the Vault story as a system to prevent that other race from entering our dimension....but what if it failed? What if the Chosen One failed? I'd rather take my chances of hiding the key pieces and never telling anyone about them.
Also, it was very apparent by their names that Arch Guardian and Priniciple Defender are there to prevent anyone from getting to the Vault. So if the Eridians already have a system in place to stop intruders, why would anyone want to come up with some sill story about the Vault and all it's treasures?
Anyway, that doesn't explain why people didn't like the ending. That's just poor story writing. I couldn't really see the game end any other way, though I had expected to beat some super powered Steele considering it was obvious she'd get to the Vault first. If people instead mean the end boss battle was lame, I disagree. While he was stupid easy, it was still fucking epic. I mean, did you fucking see what you were fighting?! Shiiiiiit that art department deserves a gold medal for that one. |
In any event, hope I can find some awesome gear for playthrough 2 Started finding some Legendary stuff that really helped during the end of the game. Also gonna be hard to replace the most badass shotgun ever.
SG20 C Cobalt Death
DMG 42x7
Acc 77.1
FR 1.3
x3 Corrosive
4x Zoom
Very High effect chance.
And I'm a Siren. This shit melts everything in 1 hit. Even Badass Defenders were dieing after 2 or 3 shots. Don't even have to get close with that accuracy rating.

nightlith - Can you post a link to your siren build ?
Why we all love the PC: A program "Hard Disk LED v1.1", which simulates the light that tells you your harddrive is spinning, takes 1.2 MB zip-archived.

Be happy to
BLthegame is back up so here's the modified tree for level 50: http://www.borderlandsthegame.com/skilltree/lilith/#21502323555000005050500
5/5 Diva - For my playstyle, this is crucial. Also if the screenshot is to be believed, there's an end game shield with almost 1200 capacity. Yum!
4/5 Inner Glow
1/5 Dramatic entrance - 4 points because 1 point isn't worth 1% hp regen IMO. Also, I am toying with the idea of going 2/5, 3/5. Having experienced the stun proc, it's awesome...
2/5 Hard to Get
3/5 Girl Power - This ties in with the above also. This build I've found relies almost entirely on shields. My Mercenary Class Mod gives points to Girl Power, and the shield regen is amazing. With the sheer kill rate I was getting, my shields almost never failed. With a high regen shield, you should be invincible.
(Not enough points but....
5/5 Mind Games - Tentative. Will have to see how hard things are to kill in higher difficulty games. The Daze will either be amazing, or I could kill things before Daze is even an issue.)
4/5 Quick Silver - Will be 5/5 when I get more point. This one is self-explanitory.
5/5 Slayer - The crit damage boost is nice, but here's the thing. I'm not sold on Silent Resolve yet. If the Damage Raduction works (there's speculation it doesn't) SR could be a much better choice with a shield regen based Siren. For now though, Crit all the way.
5/5 Enforcer - Duh
2/5 High Velocity - This will likely go to 5/5 when I get points. However, because I'm getting points in this through my Class Mod, I'm very tempted to put some into Blackout. Having PW up can mean life or death, and with shield regen ticking, being invisible is very nice, and something I want to be in alot. With Dramatic Entrance, being able to near perma-stun is a tantilyzing thought.
I'm currently at level 36. I have 14 points left to spend. 5 will go into Mind Games. I'm tempted to put 5 into Spark, with 4 left I can see myself putting 2 or 3 into Blackout and 1 or 2 into High Velocity. I full intend to stick with the Mercencary Class Mod. I have a Gold smg with an x4 Combustion rate, 90% accuracy, huge clip and fire rate. I play alot of hit and run games simply ignting targets then hiding while they burn to death. This build really compliments that. If you prefer up close in your face combat though, this build will get you killed quickly. Use cover alot with this build!
