yeah the first time i tried using the weapon i was standing infront of a boss with 30% charge holding the fire button like a lemon... wasnt long before i was scrambling my ass for cover

The final boss is a fucking pussy, you need nuke gun to take him down?
Just take the laser beam gun, and shoot in his eyes from cover.

damn,i should've thought of the nuke gun.. and i actually forgot to change my black hole gun for the beam gun when i did the fight.. so i had to shoot him down with.. shotgun.. it was.. pretty.. epic...

Currently replaying this on veteran. Bestest game ever!!! 10/10!
And the framerate omg compared to my xbox 360 copy, the PC version literally plays at double the framerate (62fps) rather than 30 LOVE IT!!

question about the blue space hookers
do they have a kinda vorlon dealy going on or something, where every species views them differently and likens them to their own race? dunno if this was covered in the first game, but it sounds like thats what the second game was suggesting?

Yeah that bachelor party dialogue was probably a reference to the Vorlons of Babylon 5.

The whole conversation implied that they appeared different to other species, and the content of the conversation implied that they embody attributes that are most appealing to said species. It's not written in stone, but there was enough supposition to make a rather educated guess and that, coupled with the already known Asari mental and psychic prowess, was proof enough.

also it makes sense why theyd be perfect as intergalactic space hookers. no other race would be able to appeal to such a diverse group of species. theyve totally cornered the market.
wonder if theyll touch on this in the third game. i mean theyve hinted at a lot of stuff, i really hope that they use me3 as the ULTIMATE me game, that really dives in to everything and fills the game with information and places to go and things to see... even if it means it takes an extra year or so. i REALLY want the third game to be the ultimate ME game that goes above and beyond to immerse you in the ME universe.

well it does make sense as long as you dont assume that the changes are massive. i mean no species sees the asari as OBVIOUSLY similar to themselves, its more like a subtle shape of the eyes or slight shape of the head, stuff like that, that you couldnt describe to another race in any meaningful way that anyone else could understand a MASSIVE difference to what they themselves are seeing.
for instance i think the turian described the hooker as having a noticeable head crest or something to that effect... which means nothing to our human character, because clearly she does have something of a head crest... its just that we see it more like thick tentacle hair or whatever, and they might see it more of a uniform hard crest like what they have.
i mean im obviously over-analyzing a game here, but hopefully you can see what i mean... they'd have the ability to slightly change their features subtly in the minds of different races, just to make themselves a bit more appealing, not entirely change themselves to look the same - that would explain why no one is aware of it... aside from us clever humans, obviously

I know mate, and I'm not arguing either - just offering a second point of view =) That's why I initially said "it's not set in stone" (ie; it's not Codex-written law, so far as we know) but rather a supposition based on on what little we already know.

So I installed all the available DLCs... used the little tool and everything seemed to work just fine.
I have Zaeed on my crew, and i'm wearing the blood dragon armor...
but that's about it!
All other 8 DLCs aren't here, or at least i haven't seen anything =/
wtf?

I did always wonder what is it exactly that makes the Asari so appealing to everyone. It is said that they are numerous times, but never specified exactly why.
The more mysteries there are to be revealed, the better the sequel is going to be, so I am all for it... as long as they don't just leave as in the dark, those bastards!
That point about it not being too obvious is why I thought it was just a humorous exchange. They all wanted the Asari to be looking like their species, so they found certain parts that looked like they fit.
On another not about making ME3 bigger/better/stronger... My biggest grudge with ME and immersion is some of their vistas and sense of scale. It's probably just me, but I never could get that feeling that you are standing on a huge world in some places. Omega or Illium for example... everything feels small, like where you are is all that there is and the other areas are like right next door down the hall. Many other games manage to convey that sense of scale, but ME fails for some reason for me. I don't know if it's the vistas that look too much 2D, or ambient sounds, or lack of huge crowds, something's not working. May be they need better transitions or a bit more fleshed out backgrounds... Anyway that's just a thing I'd like to be different in ME3, is all

i think the problem is caused by the fact that me2 is incredibly linear. its a very guided path, which is why it feels so small.

im hoping it was done that way to make sure the player was focusing more on the story setup in preperation for the third game, which will hopefully be a much more open-world rpg'ish affair.
personally i find that i have trouble focusing on the plot when i have a really open-world game with loads of sidequests. take oblivion for example.. played that thing for 80+ hours... didnt even START the main story
so yeah, im hoping it was linear for the sake of laying the groundwork for the third game... it'd be sweet if that was the reason, because that means we could look forward to something much more expansive and epic for the finale.
one thing i hope, though, is that me2 wasnt linear and smaller for the sake of selling dlc 'packs'... that'd piss me off something fierce.
