Some tweaks to disable HDR and other post-processing effects from the looks of that image, game itself looks quite good for a RPG but character models can be a bit low-detail and animations are a bit wonky though could be due to how PhysX works. Smile
(Though I think the flying bunnies and stuff from Gothic 3's time period and the animations in Two Worlds 1 as a result of earlier PhysX versions are long over now.)

Works great.

Two more mods have been released on that page. One of which addresses combat (makes it more difficult for you to just spam attacks) and another that actually tweaks the %'s that increase in your skill tree (balancing mod, if you will)

Looks pretty damn promising, considering the fairly recent release of the game, and the lack of a SDK (although one is coming)

I'm almost positive the first game had "permanent potions" that granted stat increases..... permanently.

Anyone know if it is possible to create these via alchemy in the sequel? Haven't seen anything on other forums....thought I would try you guys...

Haven't seen a single ingredient so far that'd have permanent increases, and I'm pretty far along the second island. So I'm guessing no.

You would think that with the large amount of plant life and body parts, AND the fact that you can save the formula.....there would be some sweet combinations

Permanent potions kinda ruined the MP in the first game, hence why they removed them.

There are still some lulzy potions to make, including invisibility and super-jump potions.

LOL, yeah, I finally made a jump spell, jumping 400% higher (although it seems like 3000%)

Jumping with that spell makes me REALLY appreciate the game engine.....i know that sounds weird, but when you are literally HURLED through the sky and the game doesn't miss a beat....tis nice.

Hi,
I have two questions:

Did anybody succeed in using the boat you can buy on the second island?
Since the wind blows ALWAYS against the coast you cant even leave the harbor. Turning the sail doesnt work for me. You are always being driven against the coast. Is that thing of any use?

You can buy houses on both islands. Are they of any use? I tried the first one, there is nothing to do there. In Oblivion there were at least minor quests attatched to the houses, here is seems pretty useless. Is it on the second island different?

thx

You need to both steer and turn the sails to navigate the boat, once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy though I find waterwalking more convenient for quick travels along with dropping personal teleporter platforms on each area.
(Have about 40 placed around now, 30 for the big island and the rest spread amongst the smaller islands around the two main landmasses.)

OK, thanks, got it - man, these remote islands are so beautifully designed with lush forest and wonderful beach, I want to spend my next vacation there.... Wink

but beside some Vidones to kill and plants to collect there is nothing special to find there... too bad

best regards

Yeah from exploring them all and the main landmass exteriors I've found very little aside from some nice visual areas and the occasional encampment of scapulari and vidon enemies.

wow, until now I also thought this game is too "easy"... no longer. on the second island this quest to kill all "stingers" in an abandoned house... man, this is insane. these creatures laeve you no chance. as a wizard you have no chance to even fire a spell, you get poisoned, conjured cratures are killed in two seconds... did not find a way to succeed here until now

finally a challenge Wink

Is it only me, or the whole gameworld is generic, repetitive and empty?

Wait, are you talking about Oblivion or this game? If you are talking about this game then, yeah - it's you.

Of course when compared to oldschool isometric RPGs, then you are correct. It doesn't hold a candle in comparison to the wealth and depth of those gameworlds. But as far as modern RPGs - well, this one is the shit right now. It's not perfect - it definitely has its flaws - but it is way more enjoyable and a much deeper experience than most of the garbage put out these days in the genre.
