Welp, still no sign of SC:CT (I check this thread every few days.) I had a feeling from the beginning, when talks were that it would sport SF3 protection, that we wouldn't be seeing it for a while, and we're not.
I imagine the group(s) are having a fun time w/ the new version. I think it's almost a given that w/ the Splinter Cell franchise, that it would require a more recent, updated version of SF3. I'm sure Ubi was probably like...
"You guys, we've gotta do something about the pirates! We've totally added the knife this time and the whole world will be flocking to pirate SC:PT! How about this? Let's crank the price from $50.00 to $70.00 in the stores, and spend a shit-load on a SF3 update instead of a patch next month! Are you kidding? Players wont care that it's $70.00, look how many people bought Half-Life 2 Platinum Collectors Super-Ultra Jam-Packed Mecha Uber Edition for $100.00! Plus players are stupid anyway, they probably wont even notice."
dyn IP addys, subnet & mac spoofs, email routing, and if all else fails, wi-fi. banned? lol, its more like brb. =p

...and the truth is, that both - Reloaded & Hoodlum - are currently perfectly able to remove the latest Starforce including decompiling/recompiling any VM code (of course, this doesn't mean they'd not release unprotected executables, if they got ahold of it). But appearantly most of us underestimate the amount of work necessary for every single SF crack. Removal of SF can only be automated to a certain degree and a lot of the actual cracking work still has to be done by hand (and can be quite time-consuming, i.e. a matter of weeks of hard work) by some of the most skilled individuals in this field (who do this for fun and/or "ego polishment" and usually have quite well-paid regular jobs).
Btw, I don't care, if anyone believes this, but if you've got the means to verify my statement, you'll see that it holds perfectly true.
Signing off,

Yeah you are right... I've got an org version... but I still want a no-dvd patch so that I won't damage the org DVD... plus I hate putting the DVD in drive... whenever I want to play it...

But why they do not crack these (above mentioned) legendary titles or Splinter Cell, for example?
I cannot agree that Splinter Cell (or other titles) is less important than unknown games like Super Power, Chaos League, Street Racing Syndicate, Garfield (!) or Will of Steel. I could even vote for Splinter Cell as the loudest title this year.
Ubisoft and Codemasters still hold great uncracked games. It is a pitty that Hoodlum and Reloaded cannot do anything against it. Maybe other weird (legendary?) teams like Immersion and Ultima ("we are not a scene team") will be back..... let's hope so.

Well din't get me wrong respect for Reloaded and Hoodlum when they bring us working games but be honest Reloaded did not cracked a single starforce game. All the exes they use are just not protecte. They must have a source who knows a lot more about starforce or a source he can get to exes before they are starforced.
The only groups ever really cracked starforce 3 are Ultima and Immersion and Ultima only did race games so we only could count on Immersion but they are vanished? |
So i guess they've also somehow got an unprotected exe from Chaos League's patch.... Man if you have to write BS.... don't write anything... Or maybe with lAmBaDa you're a SF3 dev team and you came here to whine... lol

the clonedvd can be played with an external usb dvdrom driver. tried it myself works flawlessy.
just disable your internal cdrom with starforce nightmare, get the clonedvd 4.15gigs version, burn it with alcohol on a dvd and use a usb dvdrom drive to insert the disc and play
edit: seems that it works also with internal scsi dvd drives

Instead of supporting starforce, wouldn't it make more sense to go to ebay and pick yourself up a dvd usb housing to get around it for like 20 bucks? That way you have it for sc3 and for other starforce games that will have this as a workaround as well. Beats supporting them doesn't it?

Can you people stop whining about SF3 not cracked and all that shit.
Instead of whining, go learn cracking yourself and see how friggin easy it is.
Bet you won't be able to do CDChecks for a while, and when it comes to Safedisk, SecuROm and that shit you will be chanceless for years.
So STFU and be happy that people brings you games in one way or another.
Damn, think about it yourself. Spending hours and hours of cracking only to see people whining about it. Come on people! Give it up, be silent, be happy and play the games.
Or if you feel like, go buy the damned game and don't think about cracks.
And btw the games is really great, I'm playing it on my xbox instead of PC version. No starforce-virus coming into my computer.

1. Why are you using so primitive words?
2. Do you really believe that crackers (the major ones) read nforce forum?

I use them because I can and will. Also a little because I am mad.
I am pretty sure that they in fact do not read nforce, but that doesn't makes it any place to whine about people knowing things that we can only dream about learning.
And this game is indeed kickass.
