A true PC game should require a triple GPU solution. This will run with a HD4850? Puh, will look like shit.

Yeah, that's why it's being released for PC before they even start on any console version.
Moron. |
No need to insult.
The developers have already stated that they are keeping the design of the game such that should they want to, they could make a console game out of it.

Well, PC is still the leading platform... There are already signs of the console, like no top-down perspective and much more focus on the action, but still doubt it's anywhere to the DA2 level of shit.
The Witcher 3, however... Something awesome has to happen...

i actually much preferred the OTS view for witcher. its a singular character game, not a tactical one, so i wont miss the iso view.. hell, never used it in the first one anyway - it definately didnt need it.

It's kinda weird. Minimum card is steep (8800), but recommended is relatively low (4850).

So is my 4870; who needs to upgrade when our cards are true highlanders.. DirectX11 they say? Pfff, just a gimmick!

I think you're mistaken there. I went from a 8800GT to a HD4850, the HD4850 is almost twice as fast.

That's a bold statement. The diffrence is about 15-20% though.

Here you go: a 4850 review - included are also chart comparisons with the 8800GT.
Make sure to browse multiple pages/games to see how they behave in different games/engines.
_____
I think there is a small typo or smtg in those recommended specs. The 4850 is VERY close to the 8800GT. Unless this game favors a "certain" brand, it makes little sense to take those specs very serious.

Strange comparison.
I got the newsletter as well (But deleted it, should have taken a image seeing this discussion.)
Recommended ATI GPU was a 4850, NVIDIA a 260
Minimum was a 8800 GT for NVIDIA and a 3850 for ATI.

I think the newsletter you're talking about is this:

The playing cards look nice actually, but I wonder if they won't be just some cheap plastic ones. :\
